Despite already having quarterback Kyle Carta-Samuels (San Jose, Calif./Bellarmine College) committed in the 2014 class, Vanderbilt has picked up another signal caller in this class.

Elijah Staley (Marietta, Ga./Wheeler) committed to the Commodores over offers from Boston College and Mississippi State.

"I committed to Vanderbilt for football only," Staley said.

Stalyey says football only because he also happens to be a three-star prospect in basketball. The 6-foot-6, 208-pound prospect is commit No. 5 for Vanderbilt in the 2014 class.
