The Sound Mind Sound Body camp in Detroit is always one of the more talked about events, because it offers both prospects and coaches a unique experience unlike most camps. College coaches are able to attend and coach at the event, which allows them to see a lot of their targets up close and personal.

This year's event begins June 11 and will have over 48 colleges represented from all different levels, with over 200 coaches scheduled to be on hand for the two-day event. That includes Urban Meyer, Jim Harbaugh, James Franklin, Mark Dantonio, P.J. Fleck, Tim Beckman, Scott Frost and plenty of others.

Some of the coaches will be speaking to the camp participants on various topics and some will be leading the position groups during the on-field portion of the camp.

Participating quarterbacks will be coached by Michigan quarterback coach Jedd Fisch and Oregon’s Frost. Running backs will be coached by Bowling Green’s Vince Marshall and the linebackers by Michigan defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin. The offensive linemen in attendance will work with Ohio State’s Ed Warinner while their defensive counterparts will work with Buckeyes’ defensive line coach Larry Johnson. Michigan State receivers coach Terrence Samuel will work the wideouts while his staffmate, Harlon Barnett, will coach up the defensive backs.

This type of opportunity always draws big names to the event, which has seen Notre Dame’s Jaylon Smith, Ohio State’s Damon Webb, current Florida State commit Malik Henry and plenty of others come through the camp.

This year is no exception as there are 136 recruits currently holding offers expected to be at the event ranging from the 2016 to 2019 classes. Here is a look at some of the bigger names projected to make it out to the camp.

QUARTERBACK:

Michigan State quarterback commit Messiah DeWeaver is the biggest name listed at his position, so he will have a good opportunity to recruit for the Spartans with some of the other offensive prospects he’ll be working with. DeWeaver will mainly be joined by younger prospects, including three 2019 signal-callers who all hold Akron offers in Sam Johnson, Austin Brown and Dwan Mathis.

RUNNING BACK:

The Spartans will have another big name commit at the camp with Abdul Adams scheduled to be on hand. Adams will be joined by Syracuse commit Robert Washington, Iowa target Barrington Wade and a few other 2016 prospects. The 2017 class will be well represented with Allen Stritzinger, Ann Arbor prospect Antjuan Simmons and local recruit Kaiser Carleton.

LINEBACKER:

Linebackers usually don’t get a ton of opportunities to showcase their true abilities at camps, but there will be some bigger names at the event.

USC commit Daelin Hayes, Jacob Colacion, 2017 Tyshon Fogg and Joshua Ross will be some of the bigger names to watch at the position.

WIDE RECEIVER:

The receiver group will likely be one of the more watched positions at the camp, not only because these events tend to give them a stage to show off, but the list of prospects at the position is deep. ESPN 300 prospects Binjimin Victor, Donnie Corley and Steven Smothers will be participating, as well as four-star Florida commit Isaiah Johnson.

Once again, though, the 2017 prospects will be out in full force with Florida prospect Daquon Green, K.J. Hamler, Josh Palmer, Detroit prospect Donovan Peoples-Jones, Hunter Rison and a slew of other underclassmen will be trying to earn more offers.

DEFENSIVE BACKS:

The receivers won’t be able to run free during the event as there are some outstanding defensive backs slated to be in attendance.

ESPN 300 prospects Trayvon Mullen (the No. 18 overall prospect in the country), Brandon Burton, Lavert Hill and Zechariah McPhearson will all be there to make sure the receivers don’t have a good day.

Michigan State commit Demetric Vance and 2017 prospects Jaylen Kelly-Powell, Ambry Thomas, Jamyest Williams and Jaylon Jackson are also some bigger names at the camp.

OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE LINE:

The offensive and defensive linemen will have a good opportunity to show off their skills. Though they won’t be in pads, they will get to go one-on-one in front of the coaches.

The offensive linemen will be lead by Ohio State commit Michael Jordan, Michigan commit Michael Onwenu, Sam Heckel, Alaric Jackson, Jake Heinrich and 2017 Ja’Raymond Hall.

Their counterparts will also have some big names in attendance, including recent Michigan State commit Naquan Jones, Christian Colon, ESPN 300 defensive ends Daniel Joseph and Xavier Kelly as well as 2017 defensive end Josh Kaindoh.
