2017 prospects flooded with mail from coaches

Coaches wasted no time getting to the post office and to twitter on Tuesday to start communicating with future prospects.

September 1 is the first day that coaches were allowed to send correspondence to 2017 recruits, and the letters and digital picture edits came in droves.

Jaden Hunter

ESPN Junior 300 linebacker Jaden Hunter tweeted out a graphic he received from Ole Miss. Hunter is the 110th-ranked player in the 2017 class and already has offers Alabama, FSU, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, Ole Miss and many others. The graphic was unique because it show’s the NFL draft set and at the bottom it reads “Rebels 2017 recruiting class: A factory to the NFL.” – Derek Tyson

Cam Akers

The 83rd-ranked prospect in the ESPN Junior 300, running back Cam Akers also tweeted out a photo that showed different graphics from Alabama, Florida and LSU. In addition to those three offers, Akers also holds offers from Tennessee, Ole Miss, Georgia and Georgia Tech. – Derek Tyson

Defensive end Zachary Carter, the 152nd-ranked prospect in next year’s class also received a unique graphic from Miami, which he shared on Twitter. It show’s Carter on the front page of ESPN the Magazine with the caption “The Sack Machine.” Carter is being recruited Miami along with Clemson, Florida, Kentucky and Penn State. – Derek Tyson

Alabama impressed ESPN Junior 300 No. 26 Jerry Jeudy with this send out. The 2017 Under Armour All-America Game selection was a teammate of Crimson Tide freshman receiver Calvin Ridley last season, and is regularly spotted wearing Alabama gear at Deerfield Beach, where he a teammate of ESPN 300 receiver Cavin Ridley, who is considered a lean to Alabama. – Gerry Hamilton

Miami (FL) got into the game at midnight as well with this send out to No. 192 Emmanuel Greene.The South Florida slot receiver prospect now at IMG Academy has been consistent in saying Ohio State and Miami (FL) are the top two schools in his recruitment early on. There is no doubt the Hurricanes have made Greene a priority from the start since offering in the summer of 2014. USC is likely going to load up at wide receiver with the 2016 class, but with a number of veterans likely to leave following the 2016 season, it will be important for the Trojans to continue reeling in receivers in the 2017 class as well. Clark has been committed to Ohio State since December 13, 2013, but this is the first time he has been allowed to receive these kind of messages from his future coaches. One of the things that stayed constant in Covallis from Mike Riley's tenure to Gary Andersen's is that Oregon State's recruiting mailers have been a hit with recruits.
