With Texas and Oklahoma State off and many of the remaining top conference teams on the road this weekend, it was a rather light visit weekend in Big 12 country. Here’s a look at some of the top visitors viewed from a social media standpoint:
Almost everything that could have gone wrong did for Kansas State Saturday in a blowout loss to Oklahoma, but that didn’t stop highly-coveted Wildcat quarterback commit Skylar Thompson and other K-State pledges like Tre Bryant, Corey Sutton, Jimmy McKinney and Zach Shackelford from enjoying their time in Manhattan. Thompson said injuries have crushed the Wildcats this season and he’s excited by what he’s seeing from the younger players on the team.
Things didn't go well on the field for #KState against #OU but @skylar_15 & other commits still believe in Wildcats. pic.twitter.com/kisqKDoDrV

With TCU in town, Iowa State used the opportunity to bring in a receiver from Florida it covets for an official visit. That receiver was Kee Whetzel of Clearwater Countryside. From all indications, Whetzel liked his visit to Ames. The 6-foot-3, 184-pounder has offers from Alcorn State, Buffalo, Florida A&M, Indiana, Louisville, UMass, Purdue, Samford, South Alabama, South Florida and Toledo. It was Whetzel’s first official visit.

Kansas 2017 running back commitment Dominic Williams was in Lawrence Saturday with Dallas Parish Episcopal School teammate Tyrick Bennett to watch the Jayhawks against Texas Tech. KU showed plenty of life and made it a tight game in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t able to pull off the upset over the Red Raiders. But still Williams said he was very pleased with the resilience the Jayhawks showed.
Headed back home to Kansas 🔴🔵 w/ @Tybennett02 KU🔵🔴 #RockChalk

Baylor didn’t host a large crew for their game against West Virginia, but fast-rising 2017 safety Kenneth Murray was in Waco this past weekend. Murray hasn’t picked up an offer yet from the Bears, but KU and Houston have already stepped forward.
