Signing day is off to a roaring start and there has already been some big news and surprises with prospects all over.
As it stands right now, LSU is still leading the way with 18 ESPN 300 commitments, but that number is down one from where the Tigers started the day. ESPN 300 linebacker Erick Fowler flipped his commitment from LSU to Texas, which brought LSU down a notch.
It also could be the start of a huge day for Texas as a few other big prospects are still considering the Longhorns.
Ohio State and Michigan are both having a good day, each with 13 ESPN 300 commitments. The Wolverines added to the list with defensive back Lavert Hill, who chose Michigan over Michigan State and Penn State.
Alabama has moved up the rankings as well as it is expected to be a huge day for the Crimson Tide. ESPN 300 linebacker Ben Davis announced for Alabama, giving the Tide 13 ESPN 300 commitments total for the class, moving ahead of Georgia in terms of top commits.
The Bulldogs aren’t far behind, though, after picking up athlete Mecole Hardman giving the staff 12 ESPN 300 commitments so far.
There are a ton of commitments still on deck, so these numbers will continue to change throughout the day.
