Texas A&M is not recruiting with the same ‘cool school’ appeal in 2017 that it was in previous classes, but the class is still coming together nicely for the Aggies. A day after picking up fast-rising Houston-area defensive back Myles Jones, Kevin Sumlin and staff struck again on Saturday picking up a verbal from ESPN Junior 300 offensive lineman Grayson Reed.

Significance of impact: This is offensive line coach Jim Turner’s first big win in the Class of 2017. The former OL coach under Mike Sherman is widely considered one of the best in the game, and is known for landing top talent. This is a big win for A&M, considering it won a Houston battle and beat Texas for the cousin of former Texas standout defensive end Cedric Reed.
