Zack Greinke will still face Mets

NEW YORK -- The New York Mets will not be able to avoid Zack Greinke.

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Greinke will return from paternity leave and pitch either Saturday or Sunday at Citi Field.

Greinke had been scheduled to face the Mets on Friday, but returned to Los Angeles to be with his wife. Emily Greinke gave birth to the couple's first child, Bode Nicholas, on Thursday.

Greinke will take a 43⅔-inning scoreless streak into his start against the Mets.

Ian Thomas instead will make his first major league start on Friday against the Amazin's.
