Travis d'Arnaud logs seven innings behind plate

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Travis d'Arnaud went 1-for-3 with a single and double-play groundout and logged seven innings at catcher for Double-A Binghamton on Monday against New Britain.

D'Arnaud had caught five innings on Saturday and served as the DH on Sunday for the B-Mets at Trenton.

He expects to catch a full game on Tuesday. D'Arnaud should be ready for activation no later than next weekend's showdown with the Washington Nationals at Citi Field.

"I feel great, and I'm excited to get back whenever they feel like I'm ready," d'Arnaud said Monday.

D'Arnaud suffered a sprained left elbow on June 20 at Turner Field while applying a tag at the plate on A.J. Pierzynski.

"I thought it was going to be worse, honestly, when it happened," d'Arnaud said. "A.J.'s a big guy. When it happened, I felt like my whole arm -- my elbow, my everything -- when I lifted it up, I thought it was going to be dangling the opposite way. I'm actually happy it was this."
