HARTFORD 8, BINGHAMTON 6: With the B-Mets leading 4-2, Rainy Lara allowed Hartford's first five men to reach in the fifth. The damage included Noel Cuevas' go-ahead three-run double, followed by Ryan McMahon's two-run homer. The B-Mets had built a 4-0 lead in the first inning on Victor Cruzado's three-run homer. Lara (6-9) was charged with seven runs on 10 hits in five innings. Matt Oberste went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI in the loss. Cruzado finished 2-for-3 with the homer and a walk. Box

ST. LUCIE 4, BRADENTON 3: Rehabbing Zack Wheeler allowed one walk and one unearned run in the first inning and departed an inning shy of his desired workload because of a 30-minute rain delay. Fellow rehabber Jim Henderson struck out a batter and gave up a two-out single in a scoreless second inning. The Mets broke a 1-1 tie in the fifth as David Thompson broke his bat on an RBI single. After Kevin Taylor singled to load the bases, Tomas Nido grounded a two-run single for a 4-1 lead. Casey Delgado took over in the third inning and blanked the Marauders for the next six innings. Michael Suchy's one-out double in the ninth chased Delgado. Closer Corey Taylor entered and promptly recorded the second out. Pablo Reyes followed with an RBI double to cut the Mets' lead to 4-2. Tito Polo kept the game alive with an infield hit to set up runners on the corners. Polo then stole second base and Nido’s throw to second skipped into center field, allowing Reyes to score and Polo to advance to third as the tying run. Taylor recovered to get Kevin Kramer to fly out. The win moved St. Lucie into a tie for first place in the FSL South Division with Jupiter. Box

ROME 2, COLUMBIA 0: Nabil Crismatt took a scoreless effort into the fifth inning in a hard-luck loss in his Columbia debut. Crismatt ultimately logged 6 2/3 innings. After retiring 12 straight batters, Crismatt surrendered a single to Carlos Castro in the fifth. Ensuing batter Jared James belted a two-run homer. Columbia had the go-ahead run at the plate in the ninth, but Corbin Clouse retired Tucker Tharp to end the game. Crismatt had made his first eight appearances (three start) this season with Brooklyn. BURLINGTON 11, KINGSPORT 5: Jake Simon allowed six runs on 11 hits and three walks in 6 2/3 innings. Box

TRI-CITY 4, BROOKLYN 1: Thomas Szapucki took a no-hit bid into the sixth inning, when he surrendered a leadoff walk, then a run-scoring double to Brauly Mejia as Tri-City evened the score at 1-1. Szapucki ultimately was charged two runs and the loss when Mejia scored after getting inherited by reliever Taylor Henry. Box
