ALBUQUERQUE 8, LAS VEGAS 7: Sean Gilmartin returned from the disabled list Wednesday and allowed six runs on nine hits and three walks in three innings. Trailing 8-0, L.J. Mazzilli had a solo homer and Kevin Plawecki had a three-run homer in the seventh. The 51s then pulled within a run the following inning when Gavin Cecchini contributed a two-run homer and Roger Bernadina was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to force in a run. BINGHAMTON 7, READING 3: Rafael Montero surrendered one run on four hits and departed after three innings with what was labeled a minor injury. He had been struck with a comebacker earlier. Phillip Evans went 2-for-5 with a homer and Matt Oberste drove in two runs. Paul Paez allowed one run in three relief innings and earned his second Double-A win. The B-Mets' offense busted loose in the third. Maikis De La Cruz smacked a one-out single. He was sacrificed to second, then scored on Champ Stuart's single to tie the score at 1. Evans followed with a tiebreaking, two-run homer. Amed Rosario then singled and scored on Oberste's double, giving the B-Mets a 4-1 lead. Box

ST. LUCIE 3, FORT MYERS 1; ST. LUCIE 0, FORT MYERS 0 (suspended): In Game 1, Mets starter Scarlyn Reyes allowed one run on three hits and three walks in six innings. Reyes retired 16 of the final 18 batters he faced. He surrendered only a pair of walks during that span. David Thompson had an RBI double and Luis Guillorme added a run-scoring single as St. Lucie jumped to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first. After Nick Gordon’s RBI single in bottom half, Chris Paul also singled to place runners on first and second with no outs. A.J. Murray followed by nearly grounding into a 5-4-3 triple play. The Mets settled for two outs, and Reyes got on a roll. The Mets made it 3-1 in the third when Kevin Taylor scored on a passed ball. GREENVILLE 7, COLUMBIA 3: Starter Andrew Church dropped to 5-1 with the Fireflies after allowing three runs on five hits and a walk in two innings. The damage all came on a three-run homer by Derek Miller. The Fireflies pulled within 4-3 in the seventh when Enmanuel Zabala singled and scored on a throwing error, but Eudor Garcia struck out to strand the tying run at second base. Greenville tacked on three runs over the final two innings against Witt Haggard. Box

ELIZABETHTON 4, KINGSPORT 0: Anthony Dimino had two of the K-Mets' four hits. Kingsport committed five errors, including two by third baseman Reed Gamache. Box

BROOKLYN 5, VERMONT 4: Dan Rizzie walked and scored on the winning run in the bottom of the ninth on Gene Cone's fielder's choice. Cone finished 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBIs and a run scored. Box

GCL METS 10, GCL ASTROS 3 (6 innings): Grabiel Jimenez went 3-for-3 with a triple, four RBIs, a walk and two runs scored in the rain-shortened victory. Box
