NEW HAMPSHIRE 4, BINGHAMTON 1: New Hampshire starter Wilmer Font struck out nine over seven scoreless innings and Christian Lopes belted a leadoff homer against B-Mets starter Tyler Herron in the first inning. The 1-0 score held until the fifth when Emilio Guerrero and Ian Parmley singled. Lopes then bounced a grounder that shortstop Amed Rosario whiffed on, allowing Guerrero to score. Richard Urena then drove in Parmley with an RBI groundout and Dwight Smith Jr. plated Lopes with a single for a 4-0 lead. After allowing a leadoff single to Derrik Gibson in the first, the B-Mets were 0-for-their-next-13. Herron (2-5) allowed four runs (two earned) on nine hits in seven innings. Binghamton scored its lone run in the eighth as Colton Plaia singled and scored on a wild pitch. Dominic Smith walked twice but went 0-for-2 as his hitting streak ended at 12 games. Box

JUPITER 5, ST. LUCIE 3: Rehabbing Yoenis Cespedes went 0-for-3 with a strikeout, lineout to center and an RBI groundout as the DH. Cespedes batted with the bases loaded and no outs in a 1-1 game in the fifth. Reliever Steven Farnworth survived the at-bat by coaxing a grounder to third base, although Cespedes hustled to beat out the double play. Second baseman Rony Cabrera’s throw to first got away anyway, allowing a second run to score to give the Mets a 3-1 lead. St. Lucie's bullpen couldn’t hold the two-run advantage. Kelly Secrest walked two batters in the sixth and Taylor Ard lifted a sacrifice fly to make it 3-2. Avery Romero and Dexter Kjerstad followed with back-to-back two-out RBI singles to give Jupiter a 4-3 lead. The Mets had a chance to break through in the eighth. Two walks and an error loaded the bases with two outs. However, Jonathan Johnson popped out in foul territory. Box
