PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Whether Ike Davis or Lucas Duda ultimately emerges as the regular first baseman, Josh Satin should get plenty of starts at the position against left-handed pitching, a team insider told ESPNNewYork.com.
Satin hit .317 and had a .404 on-base percentage against left-handed pitching last season.
By contrast, the lefty-hitting Davis hit .145 with a .203 on-base percentage against southpaws last season, while the lefty-hitting Duda hit .183 with a .309 on-base percentage against southpaws in 2013.
