10.40pm Pakistan still don't have answers for the questions thrown at them by South Africa. They are still clueless against Steyn, couldn't handle the short balls and apart from Umar Akmal, no batsman survived for too long. Only 98 were posted on the board and even though the bowlers can't be blamed on this pitch, Pakistan's fielding could have been much better to give some fight. So South Africa go up 1-0 in the T20 series with another convincing win as de Kock carries his form into this format.

Taha Munir: "What was the use of 8 bowlers. Match over inside 15 overs when they could have bowled 32 combined. No specialist batsman around?"

Time for the presentation:

Mohammad Hafeez: I personally feel that we couldn't setup the total we wanted to, the early wickets did the damage and the South Africa bowlers really bowled to their plans. Our batsmen are not taking the responsibility which individuals have to in a team. We have the talent but we need to work harder for the team. One person can't do this, it's not magic and as a batsman you have to look for runs and partnerships. We have the talent, it just needs application.

Dale Steyn is the Man of the Match: I enjoying bowling in general and the shorter formats are a lot of fun. I try and land the ball in one area and pretend it's going somewhere else, it's a lot of fun. I'm landing the ball in the right area and especially if the ball is swinging, Lopsy got a couple of wickets and you have a chance of finding the edge. I didn't know what to count on any more for dismissing Hafeez, it's a nice challenge against him and I'm fortunate to have the better of him.

Faf du Plessis: It was a pretty good game and that's how you want to start the series by breaking their back initially. The wicket was quite dry and our bowlers have been putting their batsmen under pressure. I wasn't too surprised by their selection but seeing Afridi at No. 3 was a surprise against the new ball. De Kock is playing beautifully, it's a nice purple patch for him and hopefully he'll keep going fir us. We're looking forward to the World Cup and try and get to the number 1 or 2 spot till then. We want to beat Pakistan here and then back in SA.

That's all we have for you tonight, join us again for the second T20 on Friday which will end this tour before Pakistan head to South Africa for a few more of these. Goodbye till then, it's Vishal Dikshit signing off!
