Pakistan edge past fighting Ireland

A brilliant, belligerent century by Paul Stirling wasn't enough to take Ireland to victory over Pakistan in the second ODI

Pakistan have won an exciting game here in Belfast today by five wickets. It was a much more competitive game than the first ODI on saturday and both sides will be able to take positives from the game.

Ireland batted with much more consistency and Paul Stirling hit a very good century. The Irish will feel that they probably needed twenty more runs. Pakistan will be happy that they chased down the total without too much trouble.

The run rate never got out of control and there was good fifty's from both Younis Khan and Umar Akmal. Paul Stirling has been named man of the match for his excellent century.

So Pakistan complete a 2-0 series win over Ireland to continue the good run that they started on the tour in the West Indies. That just leaves me to thank you for following ESPNCricinfo's coverage of the two games. Its good evening from me, Justin Smyth here in Belfast.
