Well, Umar Gul and Mohammad Aamer caused some late excitement but yet another batting failure from Pakistan means Sri Lanka came out on top by 36 runs.

Nuwan Kulasekara and Lasith Malinga were superb with the new ball, and some poor shot selection from Pakistan's batsmen meant they were almost out of the game by the 26th over.

Post-match presentation:
Younis Khan says the problem is that they are unable to forge partnerships in the top order. He also wants better fielding from his side. He praises Mohammad Aamer for his tight bowling on debut.

Sangakkara: "We let it get away a bit at the end, perhaps we got a bit complacent." He says the win is a result of a team performance, with many players chipping in. He ends by saying:" I'm proud to have such depth of talent and ability in the dressing room."

Murali is the Man of the Match. "I'm taking my batting a bit more seriously. As far as bowling goes, with Mendis out, there was more pressure on me, and I'm glad I could justify my place in the side."
