Little to complain about for India after this comprehensive victory. It's only their second bilateral series victory in Sri Lanka, and their win streak extends to eight.
Things started going down hill during the chase pretty early on, Jayasuriya bowled first ball. There was a brief period of resistance when Sangakkara and Jayawardene stitched together a 67-run stand. However the Indian spinners were on song, getting turn and bounce to smother Sri Lankan hopes. Pragyan Ojha turned in a career-best performance, taking 4 for 38 to be the stand-out bowler for India.
Yuvraj Singh is declared the Man of the Match. "It's a big achievement to reach a century before Sehwag," he jokes at the ceremony.
Mahela Jayawardene says his team should have capitalised on the two early wickets they took. "Yuvi and Veeru batted really well, their brilliant partnership took the game away from us, they played some good shots put our bowlers under pressure. It was a disappointing day for us, we came in with a lot of hopes."
Mahendra Singh Dhoni says the important thing is that the team is doing well, and that the players are enjoying their cricket. "We are not really looking at the record (for most ODI wins in a row by an Indian team), we are looking to play the players who have not played so far, that's the priority."
That's it from me, Siddarth Ravindran, and Binoy Geroge. Thanking for tuning in today, do join us for Thursday's game.
