Handshakes all round as the two teams appreciate each other's efforts. The batting again let Bangladesh down. Some adrenalin rush as ever and the starts were wasted. It has been an good tight contest, though and was good to watch. Shahadat had a great match, picking up nine wickets in the game but he would be disappointed by the effort of his batsmen. SA would be relieved they have sewed this one up and happy that their batsmen adapted to the conditions better in the second innings.
Ashraful: "The boys played well. I think we needed 50 or 60 runs more. We should have scored 250+ in the first innings. Shahadat bowled really well on this kind of track."
Smith: It was a hard-fought game and I am very happy. Our batting let us down in the first innings but when the pressure was on and it really counted the boys played well in the second innings. It has taken some time to get used to the conditions here and they showed in the second innings that they have done that. It augurs well for the second Test and the Indian series coming up.' Smith goes on to praise Boucher and the young fast bowlers.
Man of the Match: Jacques Kallis for his 5 for 30. "It's nice to contribute with the ball. I put them in the right areas and got some reverse swing. The guys have been to subcontinent before and it's a learning curve for the young fast bowlers."
That's it from us. Bye!
One run to win.
