A comprehensive victory in the end, despite the blimp in the middle overs when Zimbabwe plugged the gaps and restricted the scoring. Zimbabwe will feel they were at least 40-50 runs short. Their lower order couldn't quite maintain the momentum set by Taibu and Masakadza and the game was lost after both were dismissed. However, their efforts in the field cannot be ignored and coach Robin Brown should feel proud that his side managed to give the home side a few anxious moments.
Pakistan may not make too many changes for the forthcoming games. Jamshed's had two impressive outings but the same can't be said for Samiullah Khan. Perhaps it's time to unleash a few tearaway quicks like Sohail Khan, says Faras Ghani, our man at the ground.
The Man of the Match is Sohail Tanvir for his 4 for 34.
