Kallis tries to hit Shoaib over mid-on but gets a top edge that swirls high in the air back over the bowler's head, Malik makes excellent ground, running from cover towards the region between mid off and mid on, and settles under the catch, he tumbles to the ground after taking it but manages to hold on, superb catch 226/7
    25.1 and he strikes off the first ball! tossed up on off and middle, de Villiers steps down the track, gets on his knee and lofts with the spin. He doesn't get the desired elevation and Imran Nazir takes it easily at deep square-leg 119/3
    43.1 Akmal holds the steepler! Duminy comes down the track and tries to pull over midwicket, he gets a top edge that flies high in the air, Akmal runs forward and, though it wasn't the most reassuring take, he manages to hang on to it 194/4
    44.5 caught! Shoaib drags the length a little shorter, Boucher was perhaps expecting a fuller ball, he tried to close the face of the bat and play the ball through midwicket but was early on the shot, the leading edge lobbed up tamely towards Malik at cover 202/5

Pollock steps down the track and lofts the ball down to long on where Tanvir settles under the catch on the boundary's edge, he takes the catch cleanly but his back foot is dangerously close to the rope, the umpire says it's a clean catch but eventually calls for the third umpire who also concurs, Pollock has to go but that was extremely close 205/6
    48.5 he's cleaned him up! Shoaib picks up his fourth with a slower ball angled into leg stump, Morkel looks to heave over the leg side, misses, and hears the ball hitting leg stump, what a comeback it's been 226/8
    49.4 Tanvir gets among the wickets! He pitches an excellent yorker on middle stump, cramping Botha for room, Botha tries to play across the line but the ball beats his defences and crashes into the stumps 230/9

    3.6 Ntini comes back with a bang! good length on the corridor outside off, Nazir is cramped for room as he tries to cut. The ball gets a thick outside edge and flies to Boucher at waist-height 22/1
    7.3 the middle stump goes for a walk! Ntini angles the ball into Akmal from wide of the crease, the ball was too full to pull and Akmal got a bottom edge which crashed into middle stump, a promising innings has been cut short by a rash shot 43/2
    29.6 splendid catch at deep midwicket! The slower ball was short enough to pull and Younis made good contact, he timed it well but didn't get the necessary elevation to clear the boundary, Albie Morkel moved to his right and took a well-judged catch on the boundary, Younis goes after an aggressive half-century 149/3
    33.1 he strikes with his first ball! It was a flighted delivery very wide outside off stump, it would have probably been called wide had Yousuf not reached out for it, he tried to play an expansive cover drive and got a nick through to Boucher 160/4
    40.3 bowled him! Morkel bowls a full ball which swings sharply into Malik from outside off stump, Malik tries to drive through cover and gets an inside edge on to middle stump, uprooting it from the soil 199/5

Misbah tries to loft one over cover but that's a difficult shot to play against Ntini, who angles it into the right-hander from wide of the crease, he mis-hits it high in the air over cover point, Duminy runs backwards and takes a well-judged catch, South Africa have given themselves an outside chance 209/6

Afridi throws his bat at one on off stump, he was trying to hit that down the ground but got a thick top edge, the ball was flying towards the region between backward point and third man and it looked like it was falling safe, de Villiers sprinted back from point, covered plenty of ground and judged the catch to perfection, in fact he took that while he was running at full speed and tumbled as he took it, simply outstanding 219/8
    44.1 he's got him! Morkel bowls a quick full ball which swings back into Tanvir and strikes him full on the boot, that was going on to hit middle and leg, the umpire raises the finger quickly and sends Tanvir on his way 209/7

    46.2 another ones goes! Rao Iftikhar drives at one that swings away from him and gets an outside edge through to Boucher, the ball flies low and to his right and Boucher dives to pull off a sharp catch inches from the ground 219/9

What an amazing turnaround it's been, Shoaib Akhtar throws his bat at the first ball he faces and lofts the ball high in the air to Nel on the sweeper boundary, he settles under the catch and takes it easily, the South Africans rush to the middle to celebrate a superb victory 219/10
