South Africa take the series 3-1 with this emphatic nine-wicket victory. Shaun Pollock set it up for them by decimating Pakistan's top-order with a ten-over spell that yeilded 5 for 23. They were dismissed for 153 and it was never going to be enough even after Graeme Smith was dismissed of fthe first ball of the chase.

de Villiers and Kallis struck aggressive fifties and took South Africa home with 22.4 overs to spare. You would have hoped that Pakistan would fight hard and give us a tight contest to enjoy but once again South Africa have swamped them and finished off another one-sided match.

Shaun Pollock is the Man of the Match, no surprises there. His spell knocked Pakistan out of the contest. He is also the Man of the Series, his third such award of the summer.

South Africa will head to the Caribbean with supreme confidence and they certainly are among the favourites to win the World Cup. Pakistan, on the other hand, have a fantastic team on paper but they have been woefully flat on the field barring the fabulous Asif.

That's it from us at Cricinfo, congratulations to South Africa. This is George Binoy saying goodnight.
