17:32 Markram is looking like a million dollars, holding the innings together and providing stability while Bavuma has been solid in defense during his brief stay at the crease. The day passed quickly, and we've been entertained with some good old, riveting Test cricket. Earlier, Pakistan suffered a collapse and could only muster 211 on the board and played quite a few erratic shots. The visitors did reasonably well with the ball, taking three wickets with the new ball. Markram will need support from his teammates to erase the deficit and Pakistan will come back fresh tomorrow to go full throttle. The game hangs in the balance at this stage or perhaps South Africa will feel more satisfied with their day's work. Tomorrow's morning session will be crucial. We'll look forward to your company and comments nice and early tomorrow

Saifi: "@Ali Shan knows he is an attacking bowler and could have leaked runs. I think it was a smart decision of Pakistan's captain to hold him back. Abbas and Khurram looked good and got the rewards too, credit to Markram for showing grit"

hadi: "Slip fielders need to come in 1-2 two steps forward when Abbas is bowling. He just doesnt have the pace for edges to carry to slips!"

Adeel: "There should be a FREE HIT on NO BALL in Test Cricket as well. This would help in releasing the pressure from batters, if felt so"

Gorsi: "@Rvel, a gentle question here. What did Abbas do that he remained out of red ball cricket for 3 years?" Nothing wrong but it's not always logical how players slip off Pakistan's selection committee's radar

Mohammad Abbas to Bavuma, no run, Three slips and a gully. Short of a length and teases him with the nagging line but he is equal to the task and firmly scuffs a drive back to the bowler and that'll be Stumps on Day 1
