5.24pm As Babar Azam lifts the series trophy (and the T20 series trophy too, for some reason), we leave you to reflect on the drama of this intense final day. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. Until next time, goodbye from Debayan, Thilak and myself.

Babar Azam: "Definitely [enjoying my bowling]. I had a feeling I should have a bowl here, and I ended up getting my first wicket. The way our batsmen played, the openers, the middle order, and even though we lost time to rain, our mindset was to dominate, and the way Sajid bowled, that brought us into the game and gave us momentum. The fast bowlers did very well, and Alhamdulillah we won the match. The groundstaff prepared the wicket very well and covered the ground and ensured we got enough time for the result, I really appreciate their efforts. We always get confidence from victories, and these are crucial points. We always enter the ground with the mindset to win matches, and it wasn't just about one or two players, it was the effort of all the boys."

Abid Ali, the player of the series: "This wasn't a batting track, ball was turning, both here and in the last match. Our target was to play positively and play to win. All the senior players and staff backed the players. Our effort is to play with positive body language through this World Test Championship. I got a lot of confidence from my last domestic season, and I brought that here."

Sajid Khan, the player of the match: "The captain, vice-captain and the team trusted me, and Allah gave me this success. The plan was to go for the win, and we tried to keep it tight and bowl on one spot. The entire team gets credit for their effort."

Mominul Haque: "We had an opportunity to do better than the first innings today, and we had some very promising performances from Shakib, Liton and Mushfiq, but in the end we could not complete the job. If you've lost the first 2-3 wickets, it's very difficult to get back in the game. We have a lot of work to do at No. 1, 2, 3 and 4. Liton played very well in Chittagong and here, hope he can continue that performance."

5.10pm While we wait for the presentation, here's the World Test Championship table. Pakistan are in a highly promising position at the moment.

TS CHAUDHRY: "Nothing to take away from Pakistan but extra time lost to get Fawad to his fifty on 4th evening was HAUNTING me"

Monish Pokhrel: "I have been Pakistan cricket fan since 1999, so I am used to the way Pakistan is played today. No match is easy match for Pak because wining easily would be too mainstream. Lots of love from Nepal."

5.02pm What scenes, what scenes! Final sessions like that are surely the greatest thing in all sport, especially when you sprinkle in improbable ingredients like Babar Azam taking a wicket and Ebadot Hossain surviving 13 balls. Outstanding drama.

santosh battula: "Sajid Khan 12/128. Looks like this is the month to remember for visiting spinners. Let's look out for Jack Leach tomorrow. "

Safeer Aadil : "Credit for the victory goes to Babar Azam by taking bold decision of timely declaration, bowling changes in these conditions and finally by giving important breakthrough when it was slipping away from Pakistan's hands. Hats off to you skipper."

Rawffe: "Just 215 overs it took, in total, to get a result here. incredible!"

Adnan Niazi : "Nothing to take away from Pakistan but Bangladesh team had been abysmal in their back yard "

4.57 pm High-fives in the Pakistan camp. They acknowledge the fight from Taijul Islam as well, but what a win for Pakistan here in Dhaka. The victory of intent and clarity of thought, right through a Test where only 67 overs or so were made possible through the first three days, remember! Pakistan set this game up by declaring at 300, and from there on Sajid Khan has come up with a performance for the ages. He has finished this with 12 for 128 for the match. Bangladesh actually owed a lot of gratitude to their lower middle order, but yet again, some questions will be raised about the choice of shots and running between the wickets even when there were some good partnerships. And then, of all people, Babar Azam coming up with the breakthrough. Whew! Ok guys, I need a break. I will leave it to Karthik Krishnaswamy to see this baby home. PS: I hope you guys caught my easter eggs of Beatles references through this final day :)

Sajid Khan to Taijul Islam, OUT, that could be it! Given out leg before. Taijul reviews, but that looks out to the naked eye. Is it a Pakistan win, with Sajid picking another? He was looking to go back and defend, one that fired in quick. He's caught in front, and that is the win for Pakistan!
