Rajitha picked up eight wickets across the game, including a five-wicket haul in the fourth innings. Fernando was not shabby either, and he set the ball rolling yesterday, while Kumara, with his pace, bounce and zip, caused the Bangladesh batters all sorts of problems. The pacers, in fact, picked up all 20 Bangladesh wickets that fell in Sylhet.

Not much to shout about for the hosts. Apart from Mominul's rear-guard action yesterday and today, and Taijul's act as night-watcher on day two, they lacked the application to stave off the Sri Lankan pace-bowling threat. Some of the shots they played, especially yesterday, left plenty to be desired. It might not have mattered in the grand scheme of things with Bangladesh chasing so many.
