37.4 and SA are crumbling here. Elgar falls now! Played for spin that wasn't there, trying to punch it through the offside. Gets a juicy outside edge for a comfortable catch at first slip. Another one of those shots he won't exactly be proud of. It's been a good innings, but South Africa needed much, much more 136/5
4.6 taken! And what a catch at second slip. Good length ball angling away, looks to defend, takes the outside edge and second slip dives in front of first slip to take a low catch! The Pakistan team are in a huddle 30/1
15.2 he's gone! What on earth just happened here? van der Dussen set off for a single after a push to mid-off, but Elgar sent him back. He was stranded way, waaay down the crease, with no hope of getting back. Rizwan collected and as both keeper and batsman dived, replays show Rizwan knocked off the bails well in time. Huge, unnecessary blow for South Africa 63/2
28.3 brilliant from Yasir, he's got the former South African captain! Beautifully flighted, classic legspinner. Drifted in and spun away from the right-hander, who's tentative push only succeeds in making contact with the outside edge. Sharp catch from Rizwan behind the stumps, and Yasir's enterprising start after lunch is rewarded 108/3
35.2 and de Kock falls trying to wallop Nauman over cow corner! It's one of those shots that looks AWFUL when it doesn't come off. He never got underneath it and scoops it straight to wide midwicket, where the excellent Imran Butt takes a sharp catch. De Kock is on his knees in disbelief, and Pakistan have a fourth 133/4
54.3 full, on middle. Front leg goes across to off stump, and the paddle sweep goes to fine leg. They want two runs though, and the throw is at the top of the stumps! Rizwan whips it off, and this could be dangerous for Bavuma, and yes, Bavuma has not calculated this second run. Excellent flat throw, great keeping, and that's the second run-out this innings for South Africa. Hasan Ali with the amazing throw and Younis Khan has enjoyed this from the dug out. 179/6
61.2 and as soon as I say that, Hasan strikes! Pushes Linde onto the backfoot and instead of keeping it down, he scoops it straight to the man deep midwicket. Mohammad Nawaz, in as a substitute, completes an easy catch to send Linde on his way after a decent innings 194/8
58.2 and he does! Wow that happened sooner than I expected! Maharaj played for the turn, but it went straight on and through the gate between bat and pad to crash into off stump. Maharaj gone, and South Africa sink further into trouble 179/7

64.3 castles him this time. That was almost like a flipper. Perfect length, with Nortje not sure whether to move forward or back, and could only watch helplessly as it cannons into the off stump 195/9
69.2 struck on the pads, and the umpire gives it! He came across a fair way and this looks dead, even though South Africa have reviewed. To no avail, though, that's hitting. Shaheen makes a difference pretty much straightaway, and South Africa end their innings with 220 220/10

6.4 off the glove! Good length on off and seaming in, takes some extra bounce a he looks to defend. Hits the glove, pops up in the air, and the specific fielder at leg gully comes into play. Petersen the sub, and Butt's first Test innings ends after 25 deliveries 15/2
4.1 off stump rattled! And that's the first Pakistan wicket. Good length ball, doesn't bounce as much, Abid Ali defends expecting the ball to come near his chest, but it stays a bit low, goes under the bat, and knocks off stump. Was also late into the shot, beaten by pace 5/1
53.6 finally a wicket for South Africa. Azhar Ali perishes while trying to play a cut. Too full and too close. The shot wasn't on. Gets a thick outside edge and de Kock pouches it smartly 121/5
15.3 full on off, and big appeal for lbw and given! Babar Azam reviews, but he seemed reluctant about it. This was full on off, skidding right through, a quicker ball if you will. He looked to defend with the bat in front of off stump, but it hits him near middle. No bat involved, and ball tracking shows three reds. Would've hit leg stump and Babar is out, Dar is right, Maharaj is ecstatic, and Pakistan are in trouble. 26/3
16.2 and that's why there's merit in protecting the nightwatchman against such pace, especially when you've already faced 32 balls. Will Pakistan send another nightwatchman? That's absolutely gone through Shaheen. Full, fast, on middle, and it's broken middle stump before he could even get the bat down 27/4
97.5 the breakthrough has come! Full on middle, and the flick has gone straight to midwicket! Fawad is disappointed because of how well he struck that, but de Kock got the field spot on. Couldn't keep the ball down, and Ngidi is delighted. Been a difficult day for the SA pacers today. Applause all around as he walks out with yet another Test century 278/7
72.3 edged and taken! And Rizwan's counter-attacking innings comes to an end. Reward for Ngidi as he drops his length, getting it to bounce a bit, and Rizwan's attempt at a poke behind point goes to the left of first slip instead. Dive from Faf, and he's pouched this well 176/6
100.6 Oh dear, Faheem will be disappointed! Nortje bowls a yorker, just outside off, and Faheem did well to get the bat down. The ball takes some back spin after hitting the bat, and then rolls back to dislodge the bails! His 64, though, was entertaining, at a strike-rate of almost 75 295/8

108.5 wicket number 200! Length ball angling in, and Hasan wants to slog leg side. Misses, and the ball crashes into middle stump 323/9
119.2 lbw appeal, given, but Nauman reviews anyway. This was a quicker ball, lands just outside off, and he misses the sweep. Hits him in front of off, goes under the bat too and the TV umpire confirms it's three reds. Nauman is out and Pakistan are all out for 378 378/10

72.3 silly mid-off in action once again. This Test has suddenly taken a different shape. Was a length ball outside off, Markram came forward to block but wasn't to the pitch of the ball. The extra bounce means the ball hits the shoulder of the bat and lobs towards Abid Ali, who takes his second catch of the innings 185/4
16.1 Elgar's agony ends as Rizwan takes a stunning catch! Full outside off from around the stumps, trying to use the rough. Turns in as Elgar tries to sweep. Bottom-edged onto the pad, the ball pops up, and Rizwan has to dive full-length in front, and takes a catch from outside the popping crease 48/1
67.1 Yasir Shah snares van der Dussen. Tossed up around off, slower in the air. The batsman comes forward to defend with soft hands but the ball dips at him and goes towards silly mid-off after hitting the middle of the bat where Abid Ali takes it with both hands and a smile 175/2
71.6 gone! Flatter on the stumps, du Plessis plays back and misses the straight one. Gets rapped in front. An appeal for lbw and a simple decision this time for Aleem Dar. Was hitting the middle of the middle stump 185/3
75.1 what a start to the day! Was a length ball around off, that one kept low and went underneath Maharaj's bat to rattle the off stump. There was a bit of shape away as well. Hasan Ali brings out his trademark celebrations as South Africa lose their fifth wicket 187/5
78.2 de Kock goes back. South Africa in deep, deep trouble here as Yasir Shah snares another one. Was a tossed up delivery in the rough, de Kock went for the flick but got an inside edge on to the pads, and the ball went to the left of short leg, where Abid Ali showed great reflexes to grab it with both hands. His third catch of the innings 192/6
100.3 appeal for lbw, and given! Five for on Test debut Or is it? Bavuma reviews, he might as well. Full just outside off and angling in. Bavuma tries to sweep but misses, and it hits the inside-half of his front leg. UltraEdge says there is no bat involved. Ball-tracking says impact in line, hitting middle stump and what a wonderful moment for Nauman Ali! The 12th Pakistan bowler to take a five-wicket haul on Test debut. All smiles for him. Does the sajdah to celebrate the achievement. Pakistan need 88 to win 245/10
92.6 Inside edge flies to leg slip! The fielder was there for the flick, but instead gets a catch via the drive. Flighted outside off, wants to drive, but takes the inside-edge and flies to the right of leg slip. Nauman strikes, Linde's 29-ball stay ends. And Butt's making it a habit, of taking some screamers 234/7
96.6 Hasan Ali's happier than Nauman Ali! A big hug between the two Alis as they celebrate Rabada getting clean bowled. Full outside off, in the rough there. Rabada tries to drive, but big gap between bat and body. Turns, and crashes into middle and leg stump 238/8
98.5 lobs away to point! Full on off, and Nortje wants to crack it towards midwicket. But it turns away, takes the leading edge and goes in the air to the safe Fawad. Not easy playing against the turn as a tail-end batsman 240/9

7.6 Nortje snares another one. That's a loose shoot from Imran Butt. It's not that full. It's away from him. And he went at it without any feet movement. Got a healthy edge to de Kock' right who takes at knee height. Can South Africa pull off something magical here? 23/2

22.1 second time Maharaj gets Babar Azam lbw but he reviews. Looked out, but what does the TV sumpire say? Almost like the first innings dismissal, although this turned a bit more across the bat. Fullish on middle, and spinning across the bat, hitting his back leg as he defends down the wrong line. Impact is on off stump, but did that turn across a bit too much? That's the only question, and nope, crashing into off stump. Babar is gone. 86/3
