Brook pre-meditated, looking to shovel it through fine leg and gets a long way forward, trying to turn a good-length ball into a half-volley. But he makes a mess of it, miscuing it towards midwicket via the toe and it loops up for McKenzie to settle underneath. Sinclair brings out his trademark celebration and West Indies have an opening! 201/4

A loosener to start from Seales but this is much more threatening, a good-length ball which squares Woakes up and shapes away just a touch off the seam to take Woakes' outside edge as he gets up on his toes to defend. It skews low to second slip, where Holder gets down very well to take an excellent catch to his left 408/9

78.4 nicked to slip, West Indies have another! Fullish in the channel outside off stump, Atkinson has a fiddle and gets a thick outside edge to Hodge, who takes a sharp low catch to his left. Good line from Atkinson, straight enough that Brathwaite couldn't just sway inside the line of it as he likes to. Instead, he shapes to work it around the corner but gets in a tangle, and it pops up off the inside shoulder of the bat for a straightforward catch 78/2

14.6 Mikyle Louis, what have you done?! He has another big swipe, playing a full-blooded slog-sweep as Bashir tosses one up above the eyeline. It hangs tantalisingly in the air but Brook does brilliantly, covering good ground running back from wide mid-on towards deep midwicket, and settles underneath it. Bashir has his first Test wicket on home soil. 53/1

24.3 dreadful batting and another freebie for Bashir! Angling in, fullish length, no sign of any turn for Bashir. McKenzie seems caught in two minds and has no conviction whatsoever as he looks to swing this away over the leg side. Perfection from Woakes, initially pushed across the left-hander, but held its line on off stump, nipped back past a front-foot press and pinged off the top of the off stump! 111.5 chipped off the pads, Wood ends the fun! He tried to stay in line, but this pinged off a leading edge, ballooned out to mid-on, where Atkinson made no mistake 457/10

1.4 ohh, the West Indies players go up half-interested in this run-out chance! The appeal is against Crawley, who was at the non-striker's end, wit the ball driven straight back. And, and... Crawley's bat is in the air when the bail is tickled! This is what happened before: Seales bowled fullish while angling it across towards middle and off, as Duckett played the perfect straight drive, only for the ball to flick Seales' fingers off his right hand, as he looked to stop the ball. It went over to hit the stumps, finding Crawley, backing down, short of his crease 8/1

27.2 confident, animated appeal for lbw, and given out rather immediately! Duckett checks with Root, and reviews. Great delivery from Joseph, who fired in an inswinging yorker-length ball which landed on middle stump, as Duckett looked to push forward from off stump. He seemed to be beaten by the movement as much as the length. There is no bat involved with the ball clearly passing the inside edge. The third umpire is waiting and waiting for ball tracking... Seconds convert into minutes, but we are still waiting! Wow, it's a pretty long wait... before replays show the ball would have hit leg stump. So England lose the review 140/3

Woakes hits the perfect length outside off, but maybe a fraction wider than previous, Louis is drawn into playing when he might have left alone, a thin tickle through to Smith!
