59.5 tired shot, straight to cover! Atkinson gets his second of the day, and ends a 56-over shutout by Pakistan's second-wicket pair. The heat probably gets an assist. England went with a ring field and just hung the ball in the channel, and it didn't take long for Shafique to push one on the up straight to a fielder. He drags himself off, eager for a drink but knowing he's missed a chance for a daddy 261/2
3.4 short of a length, gloved down leg! Atkinson strikes with his 10th ball overseas, having done so second ball on debut at home. Not all that much in this delivery, but Ayub had walked across his stumps and only managed a thin tickle through to Smith as he attempted to work it fine 8/1
62.3 chipped back to the bowler, one brings two! Bit of drift and drop from Leach and Masood's drive is skewed off the inside half of the bat for a simple return catch. First Test wicket since Hyderabad in January for Leach. Again a hint of fatigue in the shot, the end of a fine innings from Masood. England have gone bang-bang since tea and got rid of both centurions 263/3
84.3 GONE! Woakes pins Babar Azam and umpire Dharmasena raises the finger! Babar reviews straight away... but that's you done, buster. Three reds, with impact into leg stump - excellent from Woakes, who in that mini-stanza had taken the right-hander enough across his stumps for the pay-off 324/4
125.2 beautifully bowled, a wicket from nowhere! Drop and turn, leg stump to off, feathers the edge... and ends up in the hands of slip! Shakeel was defending but couldn't cover the spin. Think it brushed the back leg, which bypassed Smith, but Root was alert for the catch. Bashir produces a little Multan magic to give England another lift 450/7
105.4 Naseem goes! And Brydon Carse has his first Test dismissal, as the right-hander nudges around the corner to Harry Brook who takes a smart low catch. Carse was around the wicket for that delivery, into the hip. The nightwatcher goes, having led the way in a stand of 64 388/5
108.5 Gone for a duck! Excellent squeezing brings about Rizwan's dismissal for a 12-ball duck. It's a dumb shot, getting too close to the ball and striking straight to Woakes at mid off, who had fielded the previous delivery. Needed more elevation, or better selection of delivery to attempt that shot. Sharp work from Leach and Pope to bring the field in 393/6

128.4 Given! Wider on the crease, short again but this one does not bounce at all as the ball cannons into the front pad. Umpire's finger goes up and Jamal opts for an immediate (hopeful) review... replays show the impact was higher than initially seemed, but Kumar Dharmasena is given the benefit of the Umpire's Call. 464/8
145.5 big swing, and there's a crash of ash behind him! Some turn for Leach, bringing the ball inside the line that Afridi was swinging gleefully through. Middle and leg rattled, and Pakistan are nine down 549/9
148.6 Root bounces Abrar out! But he might have injured Ben Duckett in the process! The England opener is walking off holding his hand after taking a sharp catch, with Abrar guiding the ball off his nose straight to slip. It seemed to prang Duckett on the left thumb before he grabbed it in his right hand. Somewhat farcical end to a very impressive innings from Pakistan 556/10

24.3 flicked off the toes, and straight to midwicket! It takes a fumble and a regrab, but that's a gift for Pakistan! Fractionally early through the stroke, Jamal took a screamer off Pope but this was nearly a shocker... instead, it's the priceless early wicket that gives his side real impetus! The only threat to Crawley this morning had been Crawley himself... how many runs has he left out there... 113/2
1.2 Jamal grabs a BLINDER at midwicket! Naseem strikes with his second ball, Pope gone for a duck after his last-minute promotion to opener! All going off out there. The ball wasn't especially good, short enough for Pope to climb into - he didn't try to keep it down but neither got it high enough to clear the man, as Aamer Jamal threw himself to his right to cling on one-handed! Pakistan amongst 'em 4/1

136.1 A WICKET! No really, an actual wicket. Joe Root misses a straight no-turning off spinner that keeps a little low and traps him on the crease. The stand ends on 454, Root goes for a quite magnificent 262. 703/4
49.4 Given! Duckett is pinned in the crease by Jamal, and the umpire obliges this time! Review taken as per Root's advice to the left-hander... it's hit the back foot and DRS shows the impacted path is right into leg stump. Relief for Pakistan and Jamal, who has deserved some reward for his toil. England lose a review 249/3
147.2 down on one knee, top-edge on the sweep! Brook's mighty knock is done! He suddenly looked cooked in that over, the sheer enormity of his innings catching up on him, couldn't quite get the elevation through his stroke as short backward square ends his stay, inches short of England's 800! 797/6
144.2 Another charge, skied in the deep... And, for the first time today, a catch is taken! Third time lucky, as this one is slogged high to Aamer Jamal - reliable hands as we've seen in this innings - and a deserved wicket for Naseem. Tidy cameo from Smith 779/5

147.4 flapped in the air, Babar plucks it at short cover! He dropped a sitter with Root at his mercy, but this time he times his leap to perfection, sticks out a right hand, and Atkinson troops off second-ball. England still shy of 800 for now... 799/7

0.1 pings out the off stump! My goodness, England are cockahoop! Shafique played all round the length ball, a hint of nip back in at the stumps, but frankly, that was the shot of a man who has been baked in the sun like a capsicum for 150 overs. A stunning sight for any bowler at any moment, but right here, right now... gosh 0/1
12.1 Carse with a wicket first ball! But it is an awful, awful shot from Saim Ayub... short of a length - a real loosener - and Ayub is seemingly trying to hit it over cover (honestly, its so hard to tell) and ends up skying over mid off, where Duckett takes an exceptional catch running back over his shoulder. What is going on?!?! 41/4
7.6 Shan, what have you done?! A tame, tame leading edge off the final ball of the over finds Crawley in a catching position at straight midwicket. Atkinson banged that into a length, but the skipper should have done much better. For England after shelling Masood twice, it's third time lucky... 29/2
11.6 Gone! Cracking delivery from Atkinson, tempting Babar into a flinch at a delivery that nips away off a length, edge found - Babar gone! 41/3
24.2 Leach strikes! Wonderful response, speared in a touch quicker, skids on as Saud rocked back for another slap through the off side, and that's a brilliant take from Smith, standing up to the stumps and ignoring the swishing blade to swallow the big deflection! 82/6
18.1 Carse bowls Rizwan! That movement in, along with the pace, has constantly threatened the stumps, and Carse finally breaks through Rizwan and Pakistan are falling apart... 59/5
48.4 beats the inside edge, given! Salman has to review in the circumstances but this looked pretty adjacent. Arm ball from Leach, sliding through past the bat and pinging the front pad. Was it clipping the stumps? Smashing leg, three reds for Salman! Sharfuddoula raises his finger again and England have the breakthrough 191/7

54.2 flogged through the wide line, Leach leaps to cling on! Super take from the bowler, that just gripped enough off the pitch to turn and hit Shaheen high on his blade as he swung with gusto, but Leach had to react sharply in his followthrough, stoop to his left, and close the deal. England one away now! 214/8
54.5 goes for a gallop, stumped by a mile! A bit of overspin outside off, Smith whips off the bails, and England have won an extraordinary Test by an innings and 47 runs! Leach closes out the contest with his fourth wicket, and somehow, England have overcome the conditions to win with almost two and a half sessions to spare! 220/10
