We tried our best to execute plans. It's our responsibility to carry the game. Unfortunately, we made some mistakes. Very proud of Shepherd. Shadab Khan is the Player of the Match: "When my batting comes, it usually is in the death overs so I practice accordingly. I planned by batting as per the field. And with the ball, it wasn't gripping a lot. I had good rhythm, and I just tried to bowl in the good areas."

9.53pm So Pakistan take the game after a brief scare, as West Indies fall just short. Shepherd tried to keep West Indies in the game, but an undefeated 35 off 19 balls wasn't enough in the end. The visitors had only two major contributors in Shepherd and King - Pooran's 26 took too many deliveries for their liking - as Afridi's spell of 3 for 26 sealed it for the hosts.
