29.2 edged and taken! Shadab has broken this game open for Pakistan! Tossed up on a length outside off stump. The ball grips in the surface and spins away sharply. Young has a prod at it away from his body and gets a feather that is snaffled up by Rizwan! 157/3
7.3 holes out to deep square leg! Half-volley down the leg side and Blundell could have hit that literally anywhere. What he does, though, is hit it straight down deep square leg's throat. He might have been a tad early into the stroke and might have toe-ended it. Wasim does not mind it one bit! 32/1
16.6 is that out?! Full delivery outside off stump. Nicholls looks to fetch it and paddle it fine. He gets a bottom edge that then pops up off the boot and nestles into Rizwan's gloves. The only question here is whether the ball hit the boot on the full and lobbed up. If that is the case, Nicholls, as disappointed as he looks, will have to walk back! The third umpire has been called into action, although the soft signal is out. Looks like it has come flush off the boot, and that brings Nicholls' stay to an end! 83/2
41.6 holes out to deep mid wicket! Massive, massive moment in the game! Dragged down outside off stump and Latham would be disappointed with this. He tries to muscle it over deep mid wicket but does not quite get the meat he is after. Straight to deep mid wicket, and a very good knock comes to an end! 247/5
36.6 is there a nick? Shadab and Rizwan are celebrating but the umpire is not interested. Pakistan review! Full delivery down the leg side. Chapman tries to help it fine and according to the umpire, does not get any bat on it. He might not have hit it the first time but the ball, after hitting the pad, might have clipped some part of the glove or the bat before lobbing towards Rizwan. And that is exactly what has happened. The ball, after striking the pad, grazed the glove and Rizwan did brilliantly to dive to his right and complete the catch! Slightly unfortunate dismissal from Chapman's perspective but he has to go! 213/4
44.4 taken at deep mid wicket! Slower delivery on a full length outside off stump. McConchie tries to hit it into next week but just loses his shape a little. He is early on the stroke too and drags it towards deep mid wicket. Iftikhar judges it nicely and completes the catch with minimal fuss! 267/6
49.1 Ravindra bites the dust! Full delivery just outside off stump. Ravindra opens up his stance and tries to slug it over long on. He does not middle it, though, and ends up arrowing it straight to Babar on the long on fence! 297/9
46.6 skies it and Iftikhar gobbles it up! Slower delivery on a full length outside off stump. Milne has a massive mow at it but like McConchie, is too early into the stroke. Shanks it towards deep mid wicket, where Iftikhar does the rest! 283/7
48.1 and he has his third wicket of the evening! Back of a length delivery outside off stump that climbs onto Shipley. He has a swish at it but does not get hold of it at all. Slices it towards extra cover, where Shadab does the rest! 291/8

49.3 oh dear, NZ are bowled out for 299! Dug into the track outside off stump. Sodhi backs away and flat-bats it towards mid off. Henry seems to call Sodhi through for the single and the latter makes a half-hearted attempt to get to the other end. That gives Shadab all the time in the world to gather and throw down the stumps at the bowler's end! 299/10

18.3 Miscued a skier and another bites the dust! Pakistan in a massive spot of bother, an ugly hoick across the line as he advanced down the track, lost his shape while trying to cart that over midwicket, the ball spun just enough and he didn't quite find the middle of the bat, Blundell says it's mine and makes no mistake in pouching this skier, Fakhar goes for 33. Huge wicket! 66/4
7.1 Dragged on! Zingers are alight, a casual waft across the line and he ends up making a mess of his stumps, he was trying to club that away into the covers, didn't take account of the late seam movement and it was too close to his stumps as New Zealand draw first blood! A much needed breakthrough to stem the flow of runs. Henry has produced first bit of magic! 29/1
8.1 That's a massive wicket, straight down backward point's throat and Babar Azam has to go! Babar opens the face of the blade and steers it down to McConchie who gobbles it up gleefully as Pakistan's captain ebullience lasted only five deliveries. The crowd has gone absolutely silent! This is surely a massive moment in the game, man in form back in the hut, this is exactly what New Zealand needed. Two wickets in a quick succession. 30/2
13.5 Shrieking for a lbw and up goes the finger! Hits him plumb in front of the stumps, was looking to defend at it. On a length, skiddy and nips back a little, thuds on the pads and Rizwan is already walking off but the ball tracker is still loading...three reds on the screen and it looks stone-dead, Rizwan knew it he was in trouble but just hoping against hope that he might survive by the skin of his teeth, not to be. Shipley gets the big fish, pressure was building up and you could sense a wicket was around the corner. A crucial breakthrough! 52/3
34.2 Snags this at cover! Just tried to hit it over the fielder in the ring, gets the splice of the bat and Salman goes after a well-fought 57. Latham was backpedaling, gamely jumped one-handed and plucked it out of thin air. Crucial breakthrough for New Zealand. It's Shipley again who provides visitors with a timely scalp. The ball bounced more than he anticipated, he committed early into the shot and knew he didn't get all of it 163/5

38.4 Short of a length, came in after pitching outside off, Shadab tries to heave it over midwicket, mistimes the shot, a regulation catch at mid-off for Latham who is safe as a house. The deluge is now getting suffocating for Pakistan; Milne does the job for his captain, he is bowled with a lot of aggression and stuck to his guns. Pakistan in dire straits now with Iftikhar being the lone-ranger but he needs some support from the other end 193/6
41.4 Pulled away in the air, didn't get all of it. Chapman snags this in the deep, came in from the rope at deep cover and settled underneath. Pitched up and follows Usama who was shimming down leg insolent waft across the line. His cameo comes to an end! 216/7
41.6 Collapsing like a house of cards! Unlike the last match where he tonked some lusty blows, Shaheen chips it back to the bowler and goes without troubling the scorers. Tossed up just outside off, he leans forward and goes hard at it, giving an easy caught-ball opportunity to Ravindra who gobbles it up gleefully and pumps the air in elation 216/8
43.2 Crackerjack! Delicious legbreak, too good for thee! Pings the top of middle stump and breaches Wasim's defences with a pinpoint delivery, pitched on a length and spun away just enough to rip through the gate. 230/9
46.1 Full, wide yorker, squeezed out to deep cover, running hard for the second run, Haris is struggling, Henry manages to get his hand on it at the non-striker's end, parries the ball onto the stumps by getting his palm on it, he is well short of his ground and New Zealand bag the consolation win. Iftikhar Ahmed left stranded on the other end but it was a fabulous rearguard action from him; he entertained the crowd royally in the last ODI while Pakistan drop down to third in the ICC ODI Team Rankings after losing this match by 47 runs 252/10
