4:34pm That will be all from us for this game. There is more SA20 action lined up today, though, with Durban's Super Giants hosting the Joburg Super Kings. Until next time, this is goodbye from all of us.

Eathan Bosch, Player of the Match: (On the conditions early) It was under covers, with the rain around, so trying to assess the conditions. As a bowling unit, we bowled really well today. We had a lot of chat after our first game, good to see the boys stick (to their plans). The guys were disappointed about that game (against DSG), then we had a rained-out game. Just to get a win in front of our fans…we play a lot for them and nice to get a win.

Rilee Rossouw, Pretoria Capitals captain: We started off really well with the ball. Experience of Livingstone at the end and Marques played an excellent knock (to take us past the line). On a tricky wicket, we wanted to take it as deep as we could and they played it really well (to get us the bonus point). We were worried about our lines and lengths (after the last game), they (the bowlers) stepped up and put it in the right areas. Credit to them. we got through today with the bonus point, hopefully they (the fans) come out and support us even more (in games to come).

Aiden Markram, Sunrisers Eastern Cape captain: Would like to think we are a better outfit than that. Not going to blame it on the toss. Big room for improvement (with the bat). Saw some really good stuff from the bowlers. Not the ideal day for us. (On what is going wrong) Quite hard to try and think about that now. Probably a case of T20 games coming thick and fast. When you look for form and games keep coming, it can be tough. We have some great players and hopefully we can get the job done soon. Not a big fan of issuing directives and telling guys how to play. You just want to encourage them to be their best version. If you get off to good starts, you get to good scores - those basics still apply. We will never throw the towel in, and hopefully we can start playing some good cricket.

4:13pm The Capitals left it late, purely in bonus-point terms, but got the job done, with Ackerman taking Jansen to the cleaners in the 16th over. Apart from that little sub-plot, they were pretty much the dominant side, with Jacks' positive start and cameos throughout the innings ensuring that their bowlers' work did not go to waste.

A spirited bowling display by SEC, but they just did not have enough runs on the board. Gleeson was probably the pick of their bowlers, although with such a low score on the board, they needed a lot of things to go their way, which, of course, did not materialize. They are now 0-3 this season and in need of a prompt turnaround.

Jansen to Ackerman, SIX, Ackerman seals it with a six, and the Capitals win with a bonus point! Jansen looks for the yorker outside off and ends up bowling in the slot. Ackerman lines it up, swings through the line and smokes it clean over long on. What was all the fuss about, eh? The Capitals hand the defending champions their third straight defeat, and to further ice the cake, they win with the bonus point that had seemed to slip away!

Five needed now. The Capitals need to clear the fence off this ball to get the bonus point

Jansen to Ackerman, FOUR, four more! The bonus point is still on! Full toss on middle and off. Ackerman shimmies across his stumps and whips it behind square!
15.4
0
Jansen to Ackerman, no run, slower ball on a length outside off. Ackerman shuffles across, looking for the scoop but makes no contact whatsoever

Ackerman is hitting to the shorter boundary, so maybe that is the thinking - to have the left-hander on strike

Jansen to Ackerman, no run, full just outside off. Ackerman moves across his stumps and heaves it towards deep square leg, who also misfields but recovers to prevent the boundary. The batters decide not to run, which is strange given the circumstances. Ackerman slipped but surely there was a single there?

Jansen to Ackerman, SIX, Ackerman goes big! Jansen ventures into the slot outside off and pays the price. Ackerman winds up and then whacks it flat over wide long on!

SEC doing their best to prevent the bonus point too

Jansen to Ackerman, no run, short outside off and this skips off the surface. Ackerman wafts at it and sees the ball fizz past his blade

Slightly perplexing from the Capitals, seeing how crucial a bonus point could be in this competition. But after the events of Durban, maybe they just want to get the job done

END OF OVER:

Gleeson to Ackerman, 1 run, very full on off. Ackerman advances and jams it towards mid on. They decide to take on Markram's arm and Livingstone has to scramble to make it at the batter's end
14.6
1w
Gleeson to Ackerman, 1 wide, dug into the track on middle and leg. Ackerman ducks under it and the umpire calls it a wide, much to Gleeson's displeasure

Should the Capitals be going harder for that bonus point?

14.5
1
Gleeson to Livingstone, 1 run, full on middle and leg. Livingstone flicks it powerfully to Jansen at mid wicket, who misfields and allows a single
14.4
1
Gleeson to Ackerman, 1 run, slower ball on a length on off. Ackerman shuffles across and glances it down to fine leg
14.3
0
Gleeson to Ackerman, no run, shorter and wider outside off. Zips off the surface and Ackerman, swinging wildly at it, is beaten for pace. That whistled past his blade
14.2
4
Gleeson to Ackerman, FOUR, lucky! Hard length just outside off. Ackerman, despite being cramped, has a hack at it and gets an inside edge that races away to Stubbs' right!
14.1

Gleeson to Ackerman, no run, back of a length on off, Ackerman wants to drop and run to mid wicket but Livingstone, rightly, says no

23 needed for the win. If PC get there in 12 balls, they will win with a bonus point. Gleeson is back, presumably to prevent them from doing so. Over the wicket

END OF OVER:
14 | 9 Runs | PC: 91/4 (23 runs required from 36 balls, RR: 6.50, RRR: 3.83)

Harmer to Ackerman, 1 run, slower on a full length on middle stump. Ackerman, after shimmying, gets down on the sweep and shanks it to deep mid wicket
13.5
1
Harmer to Livingstone, 1 run, short outside off. Livingstone hops back and thunders it towards deep mid wicket. Good work by Simelane to prevent the boundary
13.4
0
Harmer to Livingstone, no run, big lbw shout, not given! Tossed up beautifully on a full length just outside off. Grips in the surface and spins back sharply to rap Livingstone in front. The umpire is unmoved but SEC, after some deliberation, take it upstairs. Was it spinning too much? No bat involved but Ball Tracking confirms the original suspicion. Doing too much off the track, with the ball missing leg stump. Livingstone stays!
13.3
4
Harmer to Livingstone, FOUR, Livingstone splits the field! Half-tracker on off. Livingstone rocks back, opens up his stance and butchers it between deep mid wicket and deep square leg!
13.2
1
Harmer to Ackerman, 1 run, very full on the stumps. Ackerman squeezes it out towards deep square leg
13.1
2
Harmer to Ackerman, 2 runs, a bit of a drag-down outside off. Ackerman hops back and cuts it well in front of point for a couple of runs

Harmer again

Five overs since the last boundary. If the Capitals want the bonus point, they will have to chase this score in 16 overs or lesser, which basically means they need 32 off 18 for the bonus point

END OF OVER:

Overton to Ackerman, 1 run, back of a length outside off. Ackerman opens his bat face and dabs it down to deep third
