7.3 he has his man this time. Edged through to the keeper! The cross-seamer generates a bit more bounce and the angle away from him is just perfect. And that is enough to snare the outside edge of Kusal's poking bat. It was in that length where he was still wondering whether to go forward or back even as he nicks off. Easy catch to Akmal behind the stumps 28/1
35.2 off stump is knocked back! Was he playing inside the line there? Yep, but that was because Ajmal gets this fuller delivery to turn just enough. It was a loose drive taking the bat away from his body as he stayed rooted outside leg stump and perishes. Ajmal has his hands raised in triumph. 204/3
31.5 short ball and pulled straight to midwicket. Gul strikes totally against the run of play. It was short and it had enough width to merit an aggressive stroke, but his balance was more on the front foot which foils his timing 189/2
38.5 the star man does it again! Chops onto his off stump! Looks for that late cut once again, but this one comes in at him. Mahela is thoroughly deceived as he gets a thick nick onto off stump. Misbah is grinning the largest I have ever seen him 224/4

42.1 heaved away to deep midwicket and he has holed out! The spinners are bringing Pakistan back into this big time. Afridi exults after duping the batsman with a wrong 'un. Thisara was forced to slog against the turn and he cannot beat the man on the boundary 245/5
43.3 this time the stumps are broken and de Silva was not even in the frame. Another yes-no situation as Mathews edges this to point. Shehzad was quick on the ball, took aim and does brilliantly. Sri Lanka are losing the plot here 251/6

6.1 and claims a wicket straight away! Struck too high on the bat as he went to pull and has given mid-on a very simple catch. Shortish delivery just a touch outside off stump does the trick as Sharjeel falls on his own sword 28/1
12.3 first wicket in ODIs and he has fooled Shehzad all ends up! He was plying for turn, but this just keeps going on with the arm. Sneaks between pat and pad and disturbs the stumps. Wonderful strike as his team-mates mob him 77/2
13.3 length ball on off stump, plays all over the shop and he's struck plumb in front! Angled in at him but still he should have presented a straight bat. But he went for the flick through midwicket and pays the price. And that's drinks as well 83/3
23.3 that is perhaps the worst ball to cause a wicket. Senanayake knows it as he offers a wry, almost apologetic smile to the batsman, who is thoroughly distraught. He had dragged this halfway down the pitch and Maqsood had an age to line up and has carted this right down the throat of deep midwicket. He was scratchy at best, but this is truly a sorry way to go 121/4
44.6 this time Misbah cannot resist! Holed out at deep square leg! Malinga, you beauty! Two wickets in the over, but neither off particularly good balls. But still he has changed the game! It was a length ball and he swung with all his might, but it sunk right down the throat of the fielder. Taps the incoming batsman on the back to give him some support 254/7
42.3 nicked off to the keeper, Lakmal gets Akmal! It was the cross-seamer again, on a length and outside off stump. He was in a roll and just couldn't stop himself as he goes for a massive drive on the up but only manages an outside edge. Punches the air in sweet revenge, but Pakistan have done the hard yards 242/5
44.4 slapped straight to short cover and Chandimal has held on, despite possible injury to his hand. Ample room outside off and the shot was on, but he cannot find the gap. Chandimal is forced off his feet by the power in this shot and though it went straight at him at stomach-height, this is a blinder! 252/6
48.5 five-for for Malinga as he uproots the off stump. Sri Lanka win! Bhatti was making extravagant room outside off and Malinga saw red. Hurled the yorker at the stumps and beats Bhatti's intended carve over the off side. Terrible ploy considering they still had an over left and Malinga was the main threat. 284/10
46.5 leading edge and it is caught at point! Three for Malinga and all he had to do here was keep it tight on middle. Gul was looking for the flick through square leg. Was into the shot too early and skies it towards point where Chaturanga de Silva just about holds on. Oh, Pakistan... 262/8
48.2 full and straight and he traps Ajmal in front. That's his fourth and this is the best of the lot. An indipping yorker on leg stump sneaks under the Ajmal's flicking bat and that might just have crashed into leg stump 281/9
