Expected result, in somewhat expected fashion, but there were points in the game where things seemed more evenly placed. Maybe that'll adjust tomorrow and Melbourne Renegades play a thriller against Sydney Thunder. Of course, there's loads of Test cricket going on too. So, do check all that out. Have a nice time, see you again soon.
Ben Dwarshuis, POTM: Was nice to win the toss and bowl. There was swing and seam, nice to extract wickets and keep the runs down. (On bowling in the Surge) We identify that as an area to improve. Gotta commit to a plan knowing it won't always work. Nice to see wickets shared around. Kerr's bowling well in the Surge as well. But our fielding has been great. Silk took remarkable catches. Nice to win against Heat, hope to meet them in the final and get our revenge today.
9:23pm: That game was one-sided but mainly because Sixers were so clinical that Heat had no chance to keep up. I don't expect that to be a popular viewpoint as it wouldn't factor in just how clinical Sixers were. Their bowling was planned to the T, and the batters took chances given they were chasing a smallish score. James Vince tried to get a head start but fell cheaply, Phillippe was steadier and finished unbeaten. Patterson was the game-changer with the bat though, he was super comfortable against all bowling, especially the short stuff. Bartlett bowled a few good balls and beat bat but got just the one wicket. Spencer Johnson bowled an amazing over but that was after the powerplay. The spinners weren't allowed to settle. So, once the asking rate came down to run-a-ball, the game was effectively done.

Ari : "147, 157, 167... All seem to short for the SSs to shut down" With such meticulous play, the only way to figure out what a par score is is to have them bat first
Ryan: "One young lad in the 'friend zone' in that group of body builders too. Great scenes " Geez, you seem to have found a good spot

Lol a row of young girls pose for the cameras like bodybuilders, flaunting their biceps with hearty laughter. Nice scenes. Coincidentally, in SA vs Pak, someone a touch older in the crowd can't bear the tension. Hands close to mouth, but she still manages to wave at the camera after seeing it point towards her

Sam L: "Lovely mature chase by the SSs. Trying to keep across SA v PAK, BBL and the lightening in Bulawayo. It isn't easy, but thanks for the coverage Cricinfo!" That is mastery in getting a comment published. Both capitalism friendly and spiritually correct (which of course I'm the arbiter of)
