END OF OVER:

  • Jonathan Wells17 (12b)
  • Ben Laughlin4 (7b)
  • Jackson Bird4-0-36-0
  • Clint McKay4-0-47-1

That finishes a brilliant game of cricket here from Blundstone Arena in Tasmania. The Melbourne Stars pick up an incredibly important win that pushes them up into third place. The Hurricanes remain top but if the Scorchers can knock off the Thunder on Wednesday, they'd go top.

Man of the Match tonight wasn't a difficult one. Luke Wright's inredible 44-ball century (the fastest in the Big Bash) led the Stars to a 19-run win. His score of 117 was also a record in the Big Bash. Thanks for your company, please do join us again for the Strikers taking on the Sixers tomorrow night from 7.30pm AEDT. Good night
