The six-hitting spree continues this IPL. Jacks jams ten of them in an unbeaten century, when all the talk with RCB requiring the remaining 58 was about Kohli's potential hundred. But 29 runs each were plundered off two overs - there were three fours and seven sixes, all of Jacks' bat - as RCB won their second game in a row after a disappointing start to the season. But IPL action for this evening doesn't end here, as we shift to Chennai for CSK's game against SRH. Keep following for more pounding! Goodbye from Ahmedabad!
Will Jacks is the Player of the Match: "Amazing feeling right now. I struggled early on, but Virat kept his intensity. I just kept going. It was trying to be positive. Once I got Mohit Sharma away, I relaxed. It's amazing [to bat with Kohli]. To spend some time [with him] in the middle is a huge feeling. It just gave me some confidence to hit my first six. Needed to more adaptable at the beginning. Just lucky today - 17 off 17 don't win you many games!"
Faf du Plessis: "It was a really good wicket. When we bowled first, we certainly felt it was a score we could have gone after. We are making progress across departments. It feels like the confidence is starting to come... The bowlers took some great confidence [from the match against KKR]. We are doing the basics a lot better now."
Virat Kohli: "Phenomenal! When Jacks came in to bat, he couldn't strike the ball like he wanted to. But we know how explosive he can be. But he went after Mohit, and my role changed. I was just happy to be at the other end. Towards the end of their innings, the wicket started settling a bit. The wicket settles down, and the ball comes on nicely. We never dropped below ten an over through the innings. All people who talk about strike rates and me not playing spin well talk about these things [numbers]. It's just about doing my job... it's kind of muscle memory for me now. We can't carry on like we did in the first half. We are attacking the game way more. That's the way we want to play our cricket. And it's not been up to the standard except in the last two games... It's about us as cricketers having some self-respect."
Vikram: "14.2, Jacks 50. 15.5, Jacks 100*... Just unbelievable"
Shubman Gill: "It was great hitting by them. But having said that, we need to come up with better plans. At the end of the day what matters is how much you've got after 20 overs. We thought it was enough for us to have a good match. We were not able to pick up wickets in the middle overs, which is one of our strengths."
Rakesh: "We were waiting on Kohli's hundred, and Jacks came out of the syllabus."
Afeef: "Jacks in his first 17 balls scored just 17 runs. Then he scored 83 runs off his next 24 balls! Amazing hitting."
6.50pm So RCB somehow remain afloat. But it will be all about Jacks tonight. He was on 31 off 24 balls at one stage; he ended with 100* from 41 in a superb effort to completely blow GT away! Out of his last 17 balls, there were four fours and nine sixes crashed across the ground. As a result, RCB end up hunting down 201 with four overs and nine wickets to spare. That's a massive boost to their NRR, but they remain tenth for now.
Jacks on 94, and RCB need one
Rashid returns

Naman: "It looks like every Team has cracked Mohit Sharma now. They know he's going to bowl 3-4 slower balls every over."
Free hit
Prem: " @Mustafa Moudi, Never leave runs to get for others. If you are scoring, finish the game. Ask Tendulkar fans from the 1990s and 2000s"
Mohit back
