Akhil Herwadkar's maiden first-class ton was the highlight of the third day in Cuttack, as Mumbai propelled their lead to 366 in the quarter-final game against Delhi, despite Manan Sharma's four-wicket haul.
Herwadkar struck 25 fours and three sixes and put on 177 runs for the third wicket with Shreyas Iyer to take Mumbai to 218 for 1 in 65 overs. Parvinder Awana then dismissed Iyer for 82, his fifth first-class fifty with eight fours and two sixes.
Herwadkar went on to make 161, before Manan Sharma had him nicking to Rahul Yadav. Manan also accounted for Suryakumar Yadav, Nikhil Patil and Wilkin Mota and had figures of 4 for 89, extending his match haul to six. Coming in at No. 6, Siddhesh Lad was not out on 41, as Mumbai finished at 376 for 7, looking good for a semi-final spot.
