It's a long night for us at the Cricinfo corner. Hope you enjoyed hanging out with us. India and Bangladesh gave us a fine game and some super fine stories are bound to spring from them. Keep an eye out for that on the site. For now though, this is Alagappan Muthu says good night and sleep right.

"Before this ball, everybody got together and decided what we wanted to do. My idea was to bowl a bouncer, I think that's the toughest ball to hit for a lower-order batsman. He missed it and we won the game," Ashwin says to Star Sports. "It made sense to run to the stumps. It could have ricocheted off. If we didn't win, we could have had a Super Over. I thought when Mushfiq hit that boundary, I thought they would nurdle it around. But Hardik held his nerve. He had to bowl the last over, he and Nehra bowled really well. The other choice was Yuvraj. After we made 146, we knew we had a task. It was a small ground. The thing that was spoken in the huddle was they could take off or they could commit hara kiri. Mushfiq wanted to lap him, but that slog was the game that sealed it. Mahmudullah's shot was the pressure and credit to Jadeja that was a brilliant catch. This is one of those games where it was very tricky. Initially it was all about bowling good balls, but once Tamim was dropped, I knew we were on the back foot. When I came back, it was a catch 22, I didn't know whether to go for wickets or contain and when I am confiused I just go for a wicket. Its a short straight boundary, but I was concentrating on getting the seam right and when I did, it spun a mile. I had to come back and get Shakib out and Soumya along with. We gambled with my over. I have seen one close game that was 2007 World Cup. This was it. It was the closest game"

"I don't want to say everything, but the decision was what length to bowl, what line to bowl. If you are going for yorkers, what is the field and also keep in mind about the strength of the yorker. And also I knew, once the 20th over starts, you can take all the time you want. I cant be fined," MS Dhoni says. "Often it does, at times you look to finish it with the big shot. And if you think you have wickets in hand, you think others can finish it. And when you are batting well, you go for your shots. Its a learning for Mahmudullah. That's what cricket is all about, If that had gone for a six, it was a great shot. Great courage. That's what cricket is. I feel before you play the shot, that's when he has to decide. Bumrah bowled really well, the second over that he bowled, he was under pressure, with the field restrictions. It was a reflection of his misfield and the dropped catch, but he had to forget about what happened and that's what we told. I feel he is somebody who is very good with the yorkers and he did very well. There were two occasions when we had to make the game and instead of using our part-timers and we bowled our frontliners. It was a very good bowling effort. [What did you tell Pandya before the last ball?] There were quite a few stuff we were discussing, one thing was for sure we don't want to bowl a yorker, it had to be back of a length, but how back of a length, that was the question. You don't want to bowl a wide. We were deciding out field and I think he executed really well"

"We were on top till the last three balls, we could have taken singles. But anyways, bad luck. The last three balls, we lost three wickets, we needed only two runs off three balls," Mashrafe says. "Specially today it is really disappointing. Overall we played well, except Pakistan. Today it is disappointing"

R Ashwin is Man of the Match. "We've never really got together and worried so much. I don;t have anything left. I'm drained after today's game. I'll just crash now. He had put down a catch, he was 2 overs for 22, he was down, but Bumrah came back for us. I probably gave him a cheeky idea to try a mankad in the end. We might have taken flak, but why not. We have not probably batted well. Today, we are not real contenders for the tournament, but if it improves we will be. I felt when Tamim's sweep in the air I thought we were in control, but when he put it down, later on I put one down. I had so much of emotions going through. But for the team to go all the way is what's important"

I'm just as drained as Ashwin, but our Match Day crew are ready and waiting for you. Mahela Jayawardene and Ajit Agarkar will be beamed right to you screens if you refresh them. The presentation to come as well

Dhaval: "PHEW! What a humdinger!! Mushy and Mahmudullah needed only 2 runs in last 2 balls and both got out going for the glory! Now, IND vs AUS is a virtual Quarter Final ..."

Sajin : "Probably everybody missed one thing, i believe the Bumrah's second last over changed the game back to India."

jeanluc: "this match will hurt BD team and fans most than any previous match against india. The scars will be deeep. Luck was with them till 39 and half overs. India dropped 3 catches(dhoni, bhmrah, nehra), couple of mis fields, BD got quiet few lucky boundries....and still on loosing side. If not on such day then when else? It really really hurts! "

11.20 pm The World T20 continues to surprise, and after today it has finally had a thriller that every world tournament craves. Bangladesh fought tooth and nail for this. They bowled outstandingly on a slow pitch to keep the total within their reach. Then the batsmen took the chase down to the last over - that was what their fans were worried about - but Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur had done really well until then. Except for those wild slogs. They got out to deep midwicket looking for sixes when Bangladesh needed only two runs off two balls. Mushy was celebrating after a scoop shot. Next ball he was out. And Bangladesh lost a match they should have won because India held their nerve better.

Mike: "Feel so absolutely gutted for Bangladesh. All they needed to do first and foremost was to keep the ball on the ground and play for the mad dash singles. But on another note, India have to be thrown the book for this diabolical over rate. Inexcusable" ---- But necessary. You give a little leeway during tight chases like that.

Rummy: "Don't call it an upset if BD defeats a top team. They're surely making strides in the shorter format of the game."

Pandya to Shuvagata Hom, OUT, have they run the bye? Third umpire called into play. Dhoni did not throw. He ran up to break the stumps. How fast is the cutter man? Mustafizur is out! India win! India keep their campaign alive and look at those celebrations. Kohli exults wildly. Pandya is out of breath. He is hunched over his knees after defending only 10 runs! It was a short ball outside off, wide outside off, Shuvagata can't reach it. and Bangladesh have fallen agonisingly short

Mustafizur Rahman run out 0 (2m 0b 0x4 0x6) SR: -

Nehra, Dhoni, Kohli and Yuvi together but its Nehra doing all the talking. Shuvagata on strike. Third man back. Dhoni has pulled off his right glove to throw in case of a bye . Mid-off is up, cover is up.

Pomil Proch: "Fitting enough to say that the script of this match is way way better than Batman Vs Superman "

W
Pandya to Mahmudullah, OUT, and its Jaddu again! The man who was moved from cover, their best fielder was positioned there by Dhoni and he comes into the play immediately because Mahmudullah went for a slog off a full toss! Jadeja ran in, then to his right and took the catch reverse cup! Pressure catch. And now its two off one

Mahmudullah c Jadeja b Pandya 18 (48m 22b 1x4 0x6) SR: 81.81

Pandya, Nehra and Dhoni looking for plan Z as Shuvagata Hom walks out. But he won't be on strike. Mahmudullah will be because the batsmen crossed. Two runs off two balls... Third man and point are up. Dhawan moves to deep cover, Jaddu now moves to deep midwicket

19.4
W
Pandya to Mushfiqur Rahim, OUT, he's caught at deep midwicket, did they cross, with Mahmudullah be on strike? The slower ball, the short ball, the pull shot and without the pace it comes straight down Dhawan's throat

Mushfiqur Rahim c Dhawan b Pandya 11 (15m 6b 2x4 0x6) SR: 183.33

19.3
4
Pandya to Mushfiqur Rahim, FOUR, fist pumps, bat swinging, yells! Mushy wanders outside off and scoops it away. Past Dhoni. It was not timed properly. Just one of those shots that just had enough bat to fit in the gap. But fine leg was up and the plan was sound

Now Nehra comes up to talk to Pandya... Then Nehra and Dhoni have a chat... India are well behind the over-rate

jeanluc: "Honestly, this is first nail biter last over match of the tournament."

19.2
4
Pandya to Mushfiqur Rahim, FOUR, slower ball goes wrong - it is short of a length and wide outside off - Mushy smacks it through extra cover! That's a top shot, and he went so deep in the crease!

10 from five now, and Dhoni is up to his bowler to give him some advice. Long conversation this. Kohli trying to get someone's attention... Deep square leg comes up, fine leg comes up....

19.1
1
Pandya to Mahmudullah, 1 run, goes full and wide, steered to deep cover

Nehra, Rohit, Dhoni and Pandya having a mini-meeting. Pats on the back for the man with the responsibility to defend only 10 runs. Mahmudullah on strike. Third man and point are up. Fine leg is up and very fine. Sweeper cover is back (Jaddu being put there instead of Dhawan)

Bumrah to Mahmudullah, 1 run, comes down the wicket, Bumrah still yorks him. Mahmudullah gets a single down the ground and who would field it but Pandya himself. Came up for the change of overs with a smile on his face

Nick: "Who's praying for a miracle?" --- Pandya?

18.5
1
Bumrah to Mushfiqur Rahim, 1 run, moves leg side and slices the low full toss behind point, Rohit Sharma on the boundary does some good work running to his left and sending in a quick throw

Long-off, long-on. Third man up.

Chetan: "Dhoni sure doesn't prefer spinners in the end. He gave the ball to Joginder Sharma instead of bhajji in the final. Which means Pandya will bowl the final over today. "

18.4
1
Bumrah to Mahmudullah, 1 run, right up there outside off, although not a yorker, speared to deep cover
18.3
1
Bumrah to Mushfiqur Rahim, 1 run, full toss outside off, but there is a direct hit. Looks only a hopeful appeal though. Pandya was the fielder at mid-off and he wound up and hit his target. Ooooh, that was close than I thought. Mushy did well by dragging the bat through

Third man is back now. Three on the leg side boundary

18.2
1
Bumrah to Mahmudullah, 1 run, brave call for the lap sweep! Bumrah goes for the blockhole, Mahmudullah knows it and he moves across and turns the ball to short fine leg. Mushy goes through for a run before Nehra can catch up
18.1
1
Bumrah to Mushfiqur Rahim, 1 run, squeezed out through the covers for a single, and he gives the strike to the senior batsman

Bangladesh need 17 off 12 balls. Will Bumrah nail his yorkers again? Third man and point are up. Deep cover is back. Mid-off is up

END OF OVER:

Nehra to Mahmudullah, FOUR, what a shot! That's the change in Mahmudullah's game. He doens't hit the big shots. He just pierces gaps - like this one at cover with a pristine drive. This one's not over yet. Nehra walked away, slapping the side of his own head.

Mushfiqur, a former captain, strides out. So no shortage of experience. Cool heads needed as things head up in Bangalore

Saiham: "Well, imagine my little office space in Bangladesh!"

17.5
W
Nehra to Soumya Sarkar, OUT, full toss! What a ball to (perhaps) turn the game around! Soumya stepped beside the ball, looking for the heave down the ground. Got it a bit too high on the bat perhaps and Kohli settled under it nicely

Soumya Sarkar c Kohli b Nehra 21 (24m 21b 1x4 1x6) SR: 100.00

17.4
1
Nehra to Mahmudullah, 1 run, comes down the track, knowing the bowler was going for the yorker and lifts it over midwicket

Fine leg is up. Third man is back. Nehra is around the wicket.

Wilson : "Looks like Hardik will have to bowl one over... doesn't induce any confidence ...!!!"

Usama Bin Karam: "27 off 18, Soumya take that game away from India like the catches you took so far.....# fingerscrossed" --- and his catch of Hardik saved several runs for Bangladesh too. Don't forget that

17.3
1
Nehra to Soumya Sarkar, 1 run, not quite a yorker, but it is straight. Soumya was making room and he is able to drill it down the ground
17.2
4
Nehra to Soumya Sarkar, FOUR, that's poor! He's offered a limp short ball and Soumya, after being smothered by a diet of yorkers, frees his arms and hammers a pull through midwicket. Even Jaddu couldn't get it
17.1
0
Nehra to Soumya Sarkar, no run, another yorker, just outside off, Soumya slots it into the covers. Dot ball.

END OF OVER:

1
Bumrah to Soumya Sarkar, 1 run, thought that was a catch, did Bumrah. Not sure about it. But he has bowled a superb over. Fires in another yorker and the batsman expected it. Moved away and plays a slice to third man. Gets it a lot finer than he intended and Dhoni dives full length to his left to stop that ball from going for more runs

Square leg comes up. Third man goes back. Fine leg up

16.5
1
Bumrah to Mahmudullah, 1 run, blockhole barrage. Mahmudullah gets a single through square leg
16.4
2
Bumrah to Mahmudullah, 2 runs, oooh, that's the glide that was good enough in the Asia Cup. Mahmudullah gets down low to the the wide yorker and nearly got the gap at third man, but Yuvi put in the dive and stopped a boundary
