The innings which Martin Guptill played against West Indies helped put New Zealand through to the Semi-finals of World Cup 2015, after the thrashed their opponents by 143 runs in Wellington on Saturday.

Guptill remained unbeaten on 237 from 163 balls. West Indies had their opportunity to dismiss him in the first over itself but Marlon Samuels dropped him at square leg.

He made the visitors pay for their error in the field and plundered 24 fours and 11 sixes in his match-winning knock.

His innings helped New Zealand score a massive 393 runs in 50 overs and it qualifies for the #BendTheRules Moments of the day.
