Patidar's big-match hundred, Super Giants' poor record vs playoff sides

5 - Hundreds in an IPL playoff match including Rajat Patidar's unbeaten 112 against Lucknow Super Giants on Wednesday. Patidar is the first centurion for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the playoffs. The previous highest individual score for the franchise was 89 by Chris Gayle against Mumbai Indians in the second qualifier of the 2011 season.

4 - Uncapped players to score a century in the IPL before Patidar in the Eliminator. The last of the previous four was by Devdutt Padikkal, who scored an unbeaten 101 for Royal Challengers in 2021 against Rajasthan Royals. Patidar is also the first uncapped player to score a century in an IPL playoff.

263.63 - Patidar's batting strike against spin bowlers in his knock is the fourth-highest for any batter in an IPL innings against spinners. Patidar scored 58 runs off 22 balls against Krunal Pandya and Ravi Bishnoi, hitting them for six fours and four sixes.

0-6 - Super Giants' win-loss record against the teams that made it to the playoffs this season - two defeats each against Gujarat Titans, Royals and Royal Challengers. They are the first team to have made it to the top four in an IPL season and end it without a win against the remaining sides in the top four.

7 - Patidar's hundred was the seventh individual hundred to be recorded in this IPL thus far. These are the joint-most hundreds in an IPL edition, levelling with 2016.

400 - Runs scored between Royal Challengers and Super Giants in Kolkata, the third-highest aggregate for an IPL playoff game. The 2014 season's second qualifier between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede had a 428-run aggregate, while Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers scored 408 runs in the 2016 final.

4 - IPL seasons where KL Rahul scored 600-plus runs - 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2022. He is the first player to aggregate over 600 runs in four different editions of the IPL. Gayle and David Warner breached the 600-run mark in three seasons each.
