Klopp: Manchester United's schedule is a crime (1:02)

Jurgen Klopp sympathises with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's decision to rotate the Man United squad vs. Leicester. (1:02)

Amid a packed football schedule across Europe, the wait for Manchester City's title celebration finally ended, thanks to Manchester United's 2-1 loss to Leicester City in midweek. In terms of the race for European spots, however, Arsenal kept things interesting by beating Chelsea 1-0 on Wednesday, doing Leicester, and possibly Liverpool, a huge favour in the process.

In La Liga, meanwhile, the title race remains on, but thanks to Barcelona and Real Madrid's continued struggles, Atletico Madrid might finally get their hands on the league trophy for the first time since 2013-14. The Serie A title race is over, but the race for the UCL spots is very much on, with Juventus facing the genuinely shocking prospect of missing out next year. The teams above them -- Atalanta, AC Milan and Napoli -- all seem to be ending strongly, and scoring for fun along the way.

There's drama in France as well, with Paris Saint-Germain possibly failing to be champions for the first time since 2016-17. They remain in the hunt for a trophy this season though, thanks to a dramatic penalty shootout win over Montpellier in the French Cup semi-final on Wednesday.

Here are the best numbers from the midweek action.
