Lionel Messi created a truly iconic image while celebrating his 500th goal for Barcelona, which just so happened to be a stoppage time winner against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in El Clasico.
After rattling one home in the 92nd minute, Messi removed his shirt and held his name and number aloft for the Real fans behind the goal to read slowly and surely.
Of course, the resulting photo proved to be rich source material for the photoshoppers of the world, and here we've compiled some of the best efforts.
Here's Messi hanging out his washing, nonchalant as you like.

So that's 500 goals in just 577 appearances for Messi, and he's still only 29 years old. Absolutely galling, isn't it?
The only two official Barca goal-scoring records he is yet to break are Joan Gamper's record for most goals scored in one game (9) and Pedro's fastest hat trick (9 minutes).
Surely it's only a matter of time before he completes the clean sweep?
