Transfer Rater: Alvaro Morata to Man United, Ryan Bertrand to Man City

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers for the summer. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest rumours.

Wojciech Szczesny to Juventus

According to Sky Sports News, Juventus have agreed a deal with Arsenal to sign Szczesny for close to £14 million. The Polish international impressed the Serie A champions while on a two-year loan spell with rivals Roma, and they've acted in swift fashion to bring him to Turin and snatch him away from their competitors.

Nolito to Sevilla

Nolito's time as a Manchester City player appears to be over, with reports in the Daily Mail suggesting he's all set for a loan move back to La Liga with Sevilla. He initially had a good start to life under Pep Guardiola after arriving last summer but gradually fell out of favour. City are prepared to loan him out if his wages are paid in full -- something Sevilla are said to be happy to do to ensure they get their No.1 target.

Tammy Abraham to Newcastle United

The Times believe Newcastle United have won the race to sign highly rated Chelsea forward Abraham. The 19-year-old had been a transfer target for newly promoted Brighton but it appears the striker has settled for a season-long loan move to the North East to play for Rafael Benitez. Abraham caught the attention of many clubs during his 23-goal haul at Championship side Bristol City during the 2016-17 season.

Ryan Bertrand to Manchester City

Bertrand has emerged as a top summer transfer target for Manchester City according to reports from Sky Sports News. Pep Guardiola's side looked to have Monaco's Benjamin Mendy in the bag but that deal appears to have hit a brick wall with the Ligue 1 side refusing to negotiate the £40m price tag they'd placed on the left-back. That means City have had to look elsewhere and after a brief flirtation with Tottenham's Danny Rose, they appear to have settled on former Chelsea full-back Bertrand.

Alvaro Morata to Manchester United

The Sun is reporting Manchester United have offered £52m for Real Madrid's Morata, but the Spanish giants want closer to €78m (£68m) for their 24-year-old striker. The news comes a week after long-term transfer target Antoine Griezmann revealed he would be staying at Atletico Madrid. There had been interest in Romelu Lukaku but he looks set to return to Chelsea.
