Transfer Rater: Mario Gotze to Tottenham and Willian to Manchester United

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the Whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Mario Gotze to Tottenham

Gotze's desire to move to the Premier League has alerted Tottenham, who could sign the Borussia Dortmund midfielder for as little as £16 million. Football.London claims Mauricio Pochettino and the recruitment team are monitoring the unsettled 26-year-old who has endured an injury-plagued and difficult return to Dortmund following an unhappy spell at Bayern. Gotze hopes a move to England can reignite his career after he was left out of Joachim Low's World Cup squad.

Hakim Ziyech to Liverpool

Liverpool's failure to sign Nabil Fekir has seen them turn to Ajax attacker Ziyech as an alternative. Fekir's £60m transfer to Anfield collapsed earlier this month but Ziyech's buyout clause stands at just £18m with the Moroccan international the most outstanding player in the Eredivisie last season. Portuguese daily Correio da Manha report that Liverpool are among a host of clubs interested in the 25-year-old along with Dortmund, Roma and Lyon.

Willian to Manchester United

Brazilian international Willian could be reunited with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford as the United boss prepares to make a £60m bid for the Chelsea winger. United enquired about Willian's availability in January but Chelsea were reluctant to sell. The Daily Mail report the 29-year-old is growing frustrated with life as a squad player at Stamford Bridge and with two years left on his contract, the Blues may be open to a deal.

Petr Cech to Napoli

Another coach seeking one of his former players is Carlo Ancelotti, who wants to take veteran goalkeeper Cech to Napoli on a season-long loan. Unai Emery's arrival at Arsenal and the club's interest in Bayer Leverkusen's Bernd Leno has left Cech's future uncertain with Gazzetta dello Sport claiming Ancelotti has offered Cech a place in his squad. Cech is entering the final year of his contract in north London and Leno's arrival means the Gunners are unlikely to extend it.

Jack Wilshere to Crystal Palace

Palace have joined West Ham in pursuit of Wilshere, who has not been given assurances on his future by new Gunners boss Emery. Wilshere becomes a free agent at the end of the month the Evening Standard report that after meeting with Emery he fears he may have to leave the Emirates. Palace are in a position to afford Wilshere's expected £100,000-a-week wage demands as their top-earner Yohan Cabaye could leave Selhurst Park this summer.
