Netherlands' Justin Kluivert returns to under-21s as senior squad call up four uncapped players

Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman has named four new players in his first to face Germany and Belgium in upcoming internationals, but Roma's Justin Kluivert has had to settle with a place in the under-21s.

Kluivert, 19, was included in the senior squad last month, and became Roma's youngest goalscorer in the Champions League this week.

Koeman has included PSV Eindhoven's Steven Bergwijn, Denzel Dumfries and Pablo Rosario along with Club Brugge midfielder Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld in the first Netherlands squad after Wesley Sneijder's international retirement.

Liverpool duo Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum are also included, as well as Bournemouth's Nathan Ake and Crystal Palace's Patrick van Aanholt.

Netherlands will play Germany on Oct. 13 in Amsterdam in the UEFA Nations League, before facing Belgium in a friendly in Brussels three days later.

Koeman is rebuilding Netherlands in the aftermath of the team's failure to qualify for the last two major international tournaments.

Their Nations League campaign started with a hard fought 2-1 loss against world champions France.
