Granada 2-1 Sevilla FC

Granada stunned in-form Sevilla 2-1 to climb out of the Primera Division relegation zone.Goals from Isaac Success and Adalberto Penaranda gave Granada only a fourth league victory of the season and a winning start to 2016 after ending the previous year with back-to-back defeats.Vitolo pulled a goal back for the visitors in first-half stoppage time but Sevilla, who had Adil Rami sent off late on, could not salvage their eight-game unbeaten run in all competitions.Young strikers Success and Penaranda looked a handful early on but Sevilla should have taken the lead as Jose Antonio Reyes and Vitolo spurned good opportunities.Unai Emery's team were made to pay after 17 minutes when Success pounced after Sergio Rico saved to deny Ruben Rochina.Rami came close to a quick equaliser with a header that was narrowly off target but Penaranda doubled Granada's lead with a low shot in the 37th minute.Vitolo sent the visitors into the break with renewed optimism when he tucked away a loose ball inside the area on the stroke of half-time.Goalkeeper Andres Fernandez preserved Granada's lead with saves to keep out Reyes and substitute Ever Banega, but as Sevilla looked like they might get something from the game their hopes were ended by Rami's red card.The defender was dismissed for collecting two yellow cards for fouls on Success and Penaranda.
