Betis snatch victory with late free-kick
Felipe Gutierrez crashed home a last-minute free kick to earn Real Betis a dramatic 2-1 victory over struggling Osasuna on Friday night.
Veteran winger Joaquin gave Betis a 19th-minute lead when he reached a through-ball just ahead of Osasuna goalkeeper Nauzet Perez and lobbed his shot into the net.
Osasuna were level moments after half-time thanks to Roberto Torres, who netted after Alex Berenguer's cross-shot had come back off the near post, but the hosts were reduced to 10 men in the 87th minute when Emmanuel Riviere was sent off.
Betis made their numerical advantage count, with Gutierrez smashing home a fierce 30-yard free-kick in stoppage time which wrong-footed Perez and earned the visitors their third win of the season.
