Claudio Pizarro ready for 'emotional' Bayern Munich farewell

Bayern Munich will bid farewell to Claudio Pizarro before their home match against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.

Pizarro, whose contract with the Bundesliga champions expired in the summer, is currently looking for a new club.

The 36-year-old striker, who also played for Chelsea and Werder Bremen, scored 125 goals in 327 competitive games for Bayern.

And speaking ahead of Saturday's game, he told reporters: "I believe this will be a bit emotional."

He stressed that he had no plans to retire from professional football but that, although he was considering offers, he had not so far received "the right one."

The Peru international, who wants to stay in Germany, has been linked with Bayern's city rivals 1860 Munich, but said: "I have played for Bayern Munich -- I can't just join 1860."
