TOP STORY: Barcelona consider Bellerin loan
Barcelona are contemplating a loan move for Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin, Marca reports.
The pursuit of Bellerin, who would be returning to Camp Nou after leaving the youth academy in 2011, will only take place if Barca are able to find a new team for Nelson Semedo. At one point the latter was considered to be an incredibly bright prospect, but after failing to live up to his potential, it now seems inevitable that the 26-year-old will be heading out of the door.
Barca hope to get a fee of between €40m-€50m for Semedo's services, but have contacted Bellerin to see what his situation is as they attempt to get the ball rolling. Arsenal need to raise funds to sign their own targets this summer so it's unclear why they would sanction a loan move, but Bellerin has also been tracked by PSG and could be keen to depart.

22.48 BST: Philadelphia Union and United States midfield starlet Brenden Aaronson is a wanted man by European clubs but has a favourite emerged?
Transfermarkt claims that RB Salzburg -- and their American manager Jesse Marsch -- are interested in the 19-year-old and want to bring him to Austria. There are also rumours that Aaronson is set to change his agent, in an effort try and push through a move abroad.
The versatile midfielder, who starred at this summer's MLS is Back tournament, is also reportedly being monitored by several clubs in the German Bundesliga.
22.07 BST: Uruguay and Inter centre-back Diego Godin could be set for a move within Italy, according to La Repubblica.
The outlet claims that Inter and Cagliari recently tabled discussions regarding Radja Nainggolan's permanent future, but that the two clubs also discussed the 34-year-old Godin. Cagliari have reportedly been offered Godin on a free in a move that would relieve Inter of the Uruguayan's €6 million salary.
21.19 BST: Chelsea have been VERY busy this summer but one player they will not be signing is Inter playmaker Christian Eriksen.
With Inter keen on N'Golo Kante, the Guardian has learned that the Blues have rejected the chance to acquire either Marcelo Brozovic or the former Tottenham man in a swap deal. Eriksen, 28, is being shopped around by Inter, despite having just arrived in Italy eight months ago.
20.34 BST: West Brom to beat Tottenham for 44-goal Premier League scorer?
Football Insider understands that the Baggies are in advanced discussions to sign Troy Deeney from relegated Watford. The 32-year-old Deeney, who scored 10 goals last season for the Hornets, has been at Vicarage Road since 2010, scoring 133 goals in 398 appearances in all for the Hornets.
19.45 BST: Could Man City be forced to add a defender as a makeweight in a deal for Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly?
Oleksandr Zinchenko's recently admitted to Naples radio station Radio Marte that his client could be used to sweeten a potential City deal for the Senegalese defender.
"Zinchenko in the Koulibaly negotiation? He is on the radar of Naples, three years ago there were meetings.
"But for this, we have to ask Koulibaly's agent, of whom we have the utmost respect as well as the Manchester City management.
"What if City called me to include Zinchenko in the negotiation? If it were to do so, we would listen to Napoli's proposal and try to see what to do."
18.58 BST: Toronto FC are closing in on a loan deal for Liverpool Under-23 defender Tony Gallacher, the Athletic has learned.
The 21-year-old left-back has yet to appear for Liverpool's senior side but has been a regular with the U23s and has also represented his native Scotland at various underage levels. Gallacher, 21, will provide cover behind Justin Morrow and Richie Laryea.
18.02 BST: Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha is looking to join a big club before the end of the transfer window, manager Roy Hodgson said on Saturday.
Zaha scored his 50th league goal for Palace as they beat Southampton 1-0 in their Premier League season opener on Saturday. The 27-year-old has tried to push through a move the past few seasons but to this point remains at Selhurst Park.
"Wilf showed a lot of composure to take the chance. He made it look easy. He thinks it would be nice if some club came in and paid the market price," Hodgson told the BBC. "Let's see what transpires, for me hopefully nothing. He still hopes a big club comes in and takes him from us."
17.19 BST: Burnley have made an £8 million move for an international striker, the Daily Mail reports.
Mainz and Swedish attacker Robin Quaison is the target, although the 26-year-old reportedly has a £14m release clause. Quaison bagged 13 goals last season for Mainz and to this stage been capped 17 times -- scoring seven goals -- for Sweden.
16.33 BST: Aston Villa have had a €17 million bid rejected for ex-Chelsea winger Bertrand Traore, according to French outlet Foot Mercato.
The 25-year-old, who has been with Lyon 2017, has fallen down the pecking order at Lyon and has been linked with multiple Premier League sides. Traore, who had 20 goals combined through his first two seasons, scored just once last season and sounds as if he is fed up with his current situation in France.
"If my situation in Lyon doesn't change, I can't stay on the bench all the time," said the winger. "I need to play. I have no time to waste, I'm no longer an 18, 19 or 20 year old player. We will see what will happen."
16.00 BST: Lionel Messi didn't leave Barcelona to join Manchester City. But Kevin De Bruyne isn't that bothered.
"I really don't care. I really don't. If he would have come it would have helped us because, for me, he has been the best player of all time," the Belgium international told The Daily Mail. "But I am never looking at what players may come and what may happen, you know.
"You play with the players you have and I think we have a pretty good team in that respect. It would be stupid of me to assume what would happen if a certain player came. It happens in football all the time. People are supposed to come and eventually they don't."
15.22 BST: Aston Villa target Emiliano Martinez was not involved in Arsenal's squad for the game against Fulham as a transfer nears for the goalkeeper...
Birmingham LIVE reports that "Martinez will be at Bodymoor Heath later to finish his medical ahead of £20m move."
Villa's current first-choice goalkeeper Tom Heaton "believed to be taken aback by Villa's all-out pursuit to bring in a new No.1" -- so that could have some repercussions.
15.07 BST: United States women's national team and Orlando Pride forward Alex Morgan has joined Tottenham Hotspur.
Morgan, 31, is the latest in a line of USWNT stars joining the FA Women's Super League for the 2020-21 season. Manchester United earlier this week announced the additions of Tobin Heath and Christen Press, while Manchester City earlier signed Rose Lavelle and Sam Mewis. All five Americans played in the 2019 World Cup final.
Sources confirmed that Morgan's contract runs through the final four months of the calendar year but also contains an option to stay at Tottenham through the end of its season in May.

15.05 BST: USMNT star Weston McKennie has a real chance to impress on loan at Juventus.
14.37 BST: Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette has given BT Sport an update on his future after scoring in the 3-0 win over Fulham.
"I am really happy [at Arsenal]. It is only the press and other people that say I am not," he said. "I want to play and win titles. We want to be aggressive with and without the ball and improve every aspect of our game."
14.13 BST: Jose Mourinho has been speaking about Tottenham's club record signing Tanguy Ndombele.
Ndombele, 23, told Mourinho that he never wanted to play for him again following a clash in June, sources told ESPN. But might the midfielder get a chance this season?
"He's working very hard. I have to be honest and say he is working better than ever," Mourinho told a news conference. "Of course he finished the season injured, with a very important injury. He came back after holidays and of course he was still injured, in spite of doing some work on the recovery process.
"He didn't start the preseason with us. When you saw him 45 minutes against Watford it was easy to understand and say he's not in the best condition, but he trained only two days before that match.
"This week he did not go to the [France] national team and trained every day. Is his condition better today than it was last week? Yes his condition is better and he is working very, very hard. So the point now is -- can he keep that commitment and desire? If he does it, he has incredible potential."
13.47 BST: Lionel Messi is set to make his first appearance in a Barcelona shirt on Saturday since unsuccessfully attempting to leave the club this summer.
Messi, 33, is one of 25 players called up by Ronald Koeman for a friendly against third division side Gimnastic de Tarragona at the Johan Cruyff stadium at the club's training ground.
United States youth international Konrad de la Fuente has also been included, while Philippe Coutinho could also be involved after returning from his loan spell with Bayern Munich.
However, there's no room for either Arturo Vidal or Luis Suarez. Koeman has told both players they are not in his plans for the upcoming season and sources have told ESPN's Sam Marsden and Moises Llorens their exits could be confirmed next week.
13.08 BST: Tottenham's search for a backup striker to Harry Kane continues apace, with Sky Italia reporting that Jose Mourinho is keen to seal a loan move for Torino's Andrea Belotti.
Belotti, 26, was linked with a €100m move to some of the top clubs in Europe a few years ago but Torino aren't keen on letting him depart as he scored 22 goals in 44 games last season.
The report says that the striker won't be allowed to leave on loan, even if there's a buyout clause of €50m included. Looks like Tottenham will have to look elsewhere.
12.45 BST: AC Milan have signed Lyon goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu.
Tatarusanu, 34, has signed a three-year contract with the Serie A side. The Romania international will play as deputy to Gianluigi Donnarumma.
12.15 BST: Gabriel Magalhaes makes his debut for Arsenal against Fulham shortly. Here's everything you need to know about him via Tor-Kristian Karlsen.
While Gabriel was prone to committing errors in his early matches for Lille, like losing possession in his own half and giving away fouls due to excessive physical play, he has been developing on a monthly basis to the point where it's now hard to identify any obvious shortcomings in his game. Perhaps you can find more elegant, "ball playing" centre-backs or those with a more useful weaker foot, but that's still of no particular detriment to Gabriel.
11.42 BST: Puma have announced the signing of Neymar after the Paris Saint-Germain star left Nike following a 15-year association.
Neymar's arrival was announced on the Puma website alongside the banner "The king is back" and "Welcome to the family Neymar JR."

Arsenal are looking to sign Stephan El Shaarawy on loan, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
El Shaarawy, 27, was linked with the Gunners eight years ago when playing for AC Milan. Now, having suffered injury problems, the Italy international forward is with Shanghai Shenhua in China but is reportedly keen to return Europe.
His former club Roma are also keen, alongside Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
10.52 BST: Atletico Madrid were offered Ivan Rakitic and Luis Suarez from Barcelona, sources told ESPN's David Cartlidge, but the club's business is on hold unless buyers come forward for their key assets.
Rakitic, who has rejoined former club Sevilla, is one of the first players to exit amid the chaos surrounding Barcelona, with Suarez also expected to move on. The club face a summer overhaul as they look to rejuvenate after seeing Real Madrid win La Liga, Bayern Munich humiliate them in the Champions League and Lionel Messi's shock quit threat.
10.18 BST: Barcelona want to sign Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde, according to the Daily Mail.
Kounde, 21, has impressed alongside Diego Carlos at Sevilla since arriving from Bordeaux in a €30m deal last summer. But now new Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman is looking for reinforcements as he looks to rebuild at Camp Nou.
The €80m release clause in Kounde's contract would be too much for Barca to pay though, while Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is also reportedly interested as he looks for long-term replacements for Sergio Ramos and Eder Militao.
10.02 BST: Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain arrived in Miami on Friday ahead of an expected move to MLS side Inter Miami CF. But is it a good deal?
09.09 BST: Manchester United would be given priority to re-sign Memphis Depay from Lyon if Barcelona launch a bid for the Dutch winger, sources told ESPN's Rob Dawson.
United inserted the clause in the deal when Depay left for Lyon in January 2017. It means that if Barcelona, who have been linked with the 26-year-old, submit a bid, the club will be informed and Solskjaer would be given the option to match the offer. United have a similar clause in Adnan Januzaj's contract at Real Sociedad.
Solskjaer is keen to sign a forward before the transfer deadline but the focus has been on bringing in Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
Barcelona have been linked with Depay, who has scored 57 goals in 139 games for Lyon, as they look to rebuild under new coach Ronald Koeman but any hopes of a deal will rely on United passing up their option.
08.53 BST: Manchester United are lining up a bid for Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante, says Tuttosport.
Chelsea have already spent over £200m on Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell this summer and need to balance the books, while United are looking to reinforce their midfield despite bringing in Ajax's Donny van de Beek for £40m to compete with Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes, Scott McTominay, Nemanja Matic and Fred.
Tuttosport claims that Chelsea would be willing to accept offers of around £55m for the 29-year-old Kante.
08.35 BST: Houssem Aouar remains Arsenal's No.1 target for the rest of the transfer window, with first-team manager Mikel Arteta eager to build his side around the Lyon midfielder, sources told ESPN's Julien Laurens.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are actively looking for a buyer for midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, with Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain the latest to show an interest.
08.00 BST: Manchester United are set to sign Manchester City youngster Charlie McNeil in a deal that could end up costing close to £1.5m, sources have told ESPN's Rob Dawson.
The 17-year-old striker is expected to move to Old Trafford once the transfer goes through the category one academy investigation process, which can take up to three three weeks.
Sources have told ESPN that United will pay around £750,000 for the highly rated youngster with the rest of the fee made up of bonuses triggered by McNeil, who has represented England at youth level, making a number of first team appearances and hitting pre-determined targets. He is set to join Neil Ryan's Under-18s once the deal is complete.

Milik to Tottenham off the cards?
Prominent football transfer reporter Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that Tottenham Hotspur will not be signing Arkadiusz Milik this summer.
The Napoli striker has been heavily linked with a switch to the Premier League over the last few weeks after a strong four-year tenure with the Serie A giants. Spurs boss Jose Mourinho has spoken about his desire to bring in another forward during the transfer window, but Napoli want at least €40m to agree to a deal.
Milik has one year remaining on his contract, but on the flip side, Spurs continue to struggle with the issue of competing financially amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Liverpool set to sign Pitaluga
Liverpool are on the verge of signing Fluminense goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga, Globo Esporte reports.
The Reds have been tracking the progress of the teenage sensation for many months now and even saw their initial bid for him turned down by the Brazilian club. Now, after much negotiating, a deal finally seems to have been struck between the two parties.
They will reportedly pay a fee of £930,000 upfront and then another £930k based on add-ons, but if Pitaluga can even remotely live up to the hype, this could be seen as a very shrewd piece of business by Jurgen Klopp.

- Aston Villa are set to put forward a bid of around €18m to try and complete the signing of Werder Bremen star Milot Rashica, Bild reports. The West Midlands club are now believed to be the frontrunners in the race to sign Rashica, who is said to be interested in playing in the Premier League -- with a possible move to RB Leipzig not coming to fruition.
- West Bromwich Albion manager Slaven Bilic believes that Branislav Ivanovic will be signing with the club shortly, Sky Sports reports. The former Chelsea defender left Zenit St Petersburg earlier this summer but, at the age of 36, it appears as if he's about to be handed another opportunity in the Premier League.
