The Seattle Sounders' Chad Marshall was taken away from the team's Wednesday morning practice in an ambulance after falling and hitting his head during training.
Team trainers attended to Marshall while they waited for the ambulance to arrive and were seen supporting his head and neck, according to the Seattle Times.
Several Sounders players confirmed to the Times that Marshall was able to move his arms and legs before the ambulance arrived.
Marshall was taken to the ambulance on a stretcher with a brace on his neck as his teammates looked on. The practice session was called early and afterward Sounders coach Sigi Schmid said the team were taking every precaution with the injury.
The player later tweeted that he was doing better after treatment.
Thank you everyone for the messages and well wishes. Really means a lot. Scans went well and I'm doing alright.

"Obviously he fell, hit his head and we're taking all of the precautions. But at this stage, we don't know. We'll know more later," Schmid said.
The 31-year-old is a 12-year veteran of Major League Soccer and has suffered several concussions in his career so far, which gave the team more reason to exercise caution with the injury.
"You're always going to err on the side of being conservative in a situation like this, any time it's a head or a neck," Schmid said. "That's what we've done and we'll see."
Seattle plays the LA Galaxy on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 9:30 p.m. ET.
