SINGAPORE -- Hugo Lloris has told ESPN FC that Tottenham have signed a player with "massive potential" following the £55 million club record transfer of France midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
The 22-year-old is expected to make his Spurs debut against Juventus in Sunday's International Champions Cup clash in Singapore (live on ESPN2, 7:30 a.m. ET) following his arrival from Lyon earlier this month. And France goalkeeper Lloris said Ndombele's performances in the Champions League last season prove his ability to succeed in the Premier League.

"Tanguy is still a young player, but his potential is massive," Lloris said. "I think he has done great things for Lyon over the last two years and has shown his quality, especially in the big games in the Champions League.
"He has won his first cap for the national team and it is clear that he will bring his skills because he is a modern midfielder who can do everything. He looks like a box-to-box player, but he is still young with a massive potential and I know that the gaffer and the coaching staff [at Spurs] will improve him and his skills."
Lloris, meanwhile, said he believes Spurs are facing potential Champions League winners in Juventus when they kick-start their preseason campaign this weekend.
The Italian champions have added Matthijs de Ligt, Adrien Rabiot, Gianluigi Buffon and Aaron Ramsey to their squad this summer and Lloris said Juve, managed by Maurizio Sarri, have all the attributes required to win the Champions League.
"We are going to face Juve and they have plenty of top players," Lloris said. "They must be an example as a team and as a club to follow in terms of success.
"They are one of the biggest clubs in the world and a team that is ready to win all the big competitions every season. The Champions League is their first motivation. They have won eight Serie A titles in a row and for them the next step is to win the Champions League.
"They have lost two finals in recent years, but in terms of investment and recruitment, their squad is one of the most competitive in Europe."
