The University of Illinois at Chicago has hired Indiana assistant Steve McClain as head coach, sources told ESPN's Jeff Goodman.
The announcement will be made Wednesday, sources say.
McClain, 52, was the head coach at Wyoming for nine years (1998-2007), compiling a 157-115 record and reaching the second round of NCAA Tournament in 2001-02.
