Southeast Missouri State has parted ways with Dickey Nutt, he told ESPN.
Nutt, 55, was with the Redhawks for six seasons. He was 67-91 heading into this season, including back-to-back seasons above .500. However, the team struggled to a 13-17 finish this campaign despite having some of the best talent in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Nutt was the head coach at Arkansas State for 13 seasons before resigning midway through the 2007-08 season. He was an assistant with Arkansas State for eight seasons and also spent two seasons in the same position at Oklahoma State.
